They won't get sacked, though. They're doing what their very small cluster of idiots want, and as such they will stay in office. Rather than doing what's best for the nation, they're doing what's "best" for their couple of thousand voters at the expense of the millions of others.

It is more like, "Your neighbor came to your house with a bomb with enough power to level the city, asking if he could plant a new apple tree on your side of the fence." The Tea-morons forget the fact they live in U.S and paid in dollars too. If U.S gov defaults those dollars will worth exactly ZERO.

Russia to spy on Olympic athletes, visitors: researchers:
"Russia has installed an all-encompassing surveillance system at the site of next year's Winter Olympic Games in Sochi that will allow security services to listen in on athletes and visitors, security analysts said on Monday. The surveillance system, known as SORM, was first developed by the Soviet-era KGB, predecessor of the FSB special services, in the mid-1980s. It has been updated in recent years to keep tabs on the Russian opposition, among other things, said prominent security analyst Andrei Soldatov. SORM will give Russian security services free access to all phone and Internet communications at the Olympic Games in February without the providers' knowledge, according to research by Soldatov and his colleague Irina Borogan." The Speaker for the House controls what legislation reaches the floor, as well as the legislative agenda and which legislation is assigned to which committee (committees are also created and housed by the Speaker). The Speaker of the House is the second most powerful person in the Government (technically, the Vice President is, but they seldom do anything but wait for the President to die or to run for the office once the President retires...I'm only partially joking here).

(Strangely enough, the Speaker doesn't have to actually be an elected member of Congress, they must simply be chosen by Congress.) |

Also, the prosecuting barrister who was suspended from handling sexual offence cases after describing the 13 year old victim as 'predatory' and 'sexually experienced' has now resigned from the CPS sex case panel. |

^Wasn't the author of that op/ed the creator of the "death panel" myth?
Whatever her credentials, she is clearly wrong considering the Supreme Court (whose job is to "protect and defend the Constitution") did find the ACA to be constitutional, so arguing its not (especially when you really don't have the credentials or wherewith all to support your argument) is a little silly. It's also just plain weird to claim that any Party does not know the Constitution. Congress' job is to best represent the people, and what they are currently doing has very little to do with the will of the people. Last edited by james0246; 2013-10-08 at 12:48. |
