However, considering:
1. This is NHK. They tend to do all the way to the end as long as source material can keep up (without having a five+ year hiatus like 12kingdoms), so it's very likely we'll see season 2. Mamare isn't known for being a slow writer.
2. When casting William, Mamare gave specific orders to how he wants him done, due to his role in the seventh novel. In the season 1 of anime, we're not going to see much of him, just briefly likely in episode 10. This gives a good feeling that season 2 is very well contemplated, even if it's not planned outright.

It's very strongly likely season two will come not too long after, hopefully within a year or so.

Makes you wonder if he had a hand in choosing who to play William too

And yeah, Mamare is pretty famous for being quick as a writer, provided he doesn't get sick. There's already enough material for at least another 5~6 episodes, an OVA based on the side-story (if the lawyers give the nod, that is). If given a year's wait, there should be enough for another 2-cour anime (I suppose) =3

My guess of the flow of episodes would be:
5: Earthling village and arrival at Akiba. Considering they're taking so much material from the manga, the mommy Marie hug should be heartwarming.
6: Feast and party! Nyanta x Shiroe confession! Hameln side is briefly shown with Touya.
7: Shiroe's plan begins. First half of the episode is Shiroe telling Marie & Henrietta his plan. Darker than black! Second half, more Hameln, with Minori.
8: Crescent Moon cafe! OMFG BURGERS! The meeting with the Big Three. Darker than black part two.

Well, if that's the case 7 may feature Cresent Moon Cafe, and episode 8 the big three meeting.

I mean, you can't possibly cram all between Round Table talk to his haraguro part and the Cafe in mere 1 episode anyways. I seriously doubt episode 8 is referring to his act at the table. There's too much stuff in between that and the start of cafe.

Round Table probably wont' start till either later half of 9, or early 10.

- Looks like Tetra is joining the Log Horizon! A mysterious bokukko cleric they picked up as a PUG member for this raid. She likes Naotsugu a lot, and got permission to join LH from Shiroe. It looks like Marielle is getting a competition!
- Naotsugu now has two Fantasmal gear, a Lionheart Strong Shield and Armor of Silver Vow. Finally!
- Demikas is a dumb noob, but he's stepping up! Offtanking massive elemental damage off Naotsugu, he's getting a lot better.
- We also get some detail on Demikas' NPC wife. She's obviously the boss of the house, not him.
- All the characters from the Silver Sword are awesome. William, Federico, Lugius, Dinclon, all of them.
- Shiroe's plan to separate the two bosses and offtank one while they rush to kill the other is working for now... but the third boss' adds start entering the fray. Oh god, hope not another wipe.

1. Is the anime confirmed to be 2 cour? For me at least it seems they're burning through source material a bit fast. But hey I could be wrong.

2. How many manga chapters have been released? I frequent quiet a few sites and so far I've only been able to find 2 translated in english. I'm fluent in spanish, italian, french and german but I've only been able to find up to chapter 2 so far.

The novel is just being translated by a kind anon but its only 2 chapter yet for vol 2. Manga is indeed 2 chapters only yet.

3 boss in one battle? that's hard. I haven't played that much MMORPG but stick in RPG only but in boss fights. Its rare for MMORPG to have 3 boss in a row or one battle.

Naotsugu's item is for heavy tanking. Its not even the sword which is the fantasmal. What about Shiroe, Nyanta and Akatsuki?
