Terraformars
The domain name Terraformars.tv has been registered and Young Jump is having a big announcement for the series next week so I think it's fairly safe to say it;s getting an anime adaption. If not feel free to delete this thread.
Since it's a pretty big manga in Japan I'm curious to see if it'll end up being another Attack on Titan in terms of scale (though hopefully the animation budget is handled better). Also curious who'll animate it and if they'll tone down the roaches a bit. Hoping Sunrise does it. |

Official confirmation for the anime: http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news...nd-video-anime
Looks like we'll be getting both a TV series and OVA's. My guess is the TV series will be based off Bugs III since that's where the story really starts and the OVA's will cover the Bugs I & II prequel arcs. |

First episode's up now. Pretty alright start though it looks like they'll most likely be rearranging some stuff from the manga so not sure how that'll go. Direction's pretty good though as expected.
The animation budget though...looks like we're in for another AoT like scenario though this time they aren't hiding it through stills |

Meh. Story seems interesting, but the censorship is far too extended. There is no point watching this on air, same as Tokyo Ghoul. Guess I'm gonna put it in PTW like TG and watch it when it's released in BD.

I just can't let it go..
1. Looks like EVERYTHING hasn't advanced at all in 600 years, they're still using rockets to launch people to space, ROCKETS! and people still get rich because of OIL! an oil tycoon is still a valid occupation, 600 years into the future even when scientists nowadays aren't even sure we have sufficient supply of oil to last us 50 years!!! they're even using microphones that have been phased out years ago! yep, they even have our present day cleavage revealing business suits!! 2. Yes, looks like they've fixed global warming though, because north america's coastlines are still the same 600 years in the future. 3. Sure, I can understand why algae was the first organism from earth that was sent to mars, but where did all those water come from? AND WHY SEND COCKROACHES THERE? are they purposely trying to keep everyone off mars? most people don't even want to enter a room with a single cockroach in it, but they fill an entire planet with them? AND THEY MUTATED INTO SUPER MACHO HUMANOID COCKROACHES?! aside from that, the premise is interesting, and we all know that we'll eventually see some pest extermination action on mars! |
