There are two 2ch-like boards, either of which can be used for voting, and the latter also has the official administration thread:
http://saimoe.thread.jp/ast/

Both of them are linked from the main site:

Thanks.

From what I read, RUN has been saying he's busy with work and would get to his duties when he can.

Earlier today (in Japan time) he said he intends to release all the backed up results together at once and he *might* be able to do it tonight (currently it's about 11:30 PM in Japan).

So... results for FL6 and FL7 are still unofficial, and we should get the official results "soon". Maybe very soon.

They have not even posted the unofficial vote counts of FL8 in the admin thread yet, so here is the results from my tracker:

FL8
1st 238 AKEMI Homura @ Madoka Magica Movie: Rebellion Story
2nd 130 MIKI Sayaka @ Madoka Magica Movie: Rebellion Story
3rd 20 YUIGAHAMA Yui @ Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru
4th 14 TSUJIGAITO Satoha @ Saki Zenkoku-hen

Even before vote deletion I think it's safe to say the 2 magical girls made it despite the split.

Is the live draw still happening in a few hours? We still don't have official winners for many of the matches yet.

It appears the schedule has changed, according to RUN.

Quote:
11/14 Draw for knockout stage
11/16 Round of 16: FT1, FT5
11/17 Round of 16: FT2, FT6
11/18 Round of 16: FT3, FT7
11/19 Round of 16: FT4, FT8
Still no results from FL6, FL7, or FL8.

RUN is starting to remind me of a certain character or two from Shirobako. He also needs to learn to box above his comfort zone of 200 to 300 voters for an average win total and not try to box in the tournament to an ever smaller circle of folks voting.

Actually it is getting pretty easy to 'sus' "RUN'' out here as he seems to be a lazy paranoid soul who is fearing ANY outsiders 'touching' his 'precious', and has a strand of almost camp spitefulness to boot with the playing of favourites during the tournaments run and fits of pique when things don't go to script or go right.

^ Things do seem fishy in J-SaiMoe, yeah...

Strange, though, how Saki seemed to be the main victim of the eyebrow-raising stuff last year, but is one of the main beneficiaries of it this year.

I do find it very strange too but I won't be shocked if Run is part of the Saki faction.

Could the sign of corruption among the Saimoe runners be another sign that it's high time for the tournament to be retired altogether?

2nd preliminaries was changed to a format that was heavily biased against Saki and prevent them from getting characters into the main tournament even if they were stronger than some that did advance.

Playoff round was introduced that creating late game split vote opportunities putting Saki at an handicap since their series is the one most likely to have a lot of remaining characters at this stage.

The final vote adjustments actually raised Alice's vote total to knock out a Saki character.

For a supposedly pro-Saki Tournament organizer, they've enacted a few things that aren't exactly favourable to Saki.

I stop taking J-Saimoe seriously since last year. For me,Japan Saimoe already ended since 2012. Everything after 2012 are all fake result.

I don't know by which criteria RUN is deleting votes (and I'm fairly certain only RUN himself knows them) but aside from the one time misstep with Alice the beneficiaries were always from Saki. RUN should just call his favourite character from that series and make her the winner.

2012 was the WORST JSaimoe we had in history with 6/8 Sakis and they all won their match except those who lost an inter-series match. Even worse than the joke that was 2011 with 4 Madokas who all won as well except Sayaka who lost against Madoka.

2010 is the last JSaimoe that was somewhat entertaining but it already died when they banned foreign votes.

Naah..I couldn't care less how many same characters from same series make it to last 8. It wasn't a big deal since it only ruin in term of excitement. A character should only deserve to advance if she herself is strong enough and not for the sake of excitement.

For me,Saimoe is truly ruin when the mod 'subjectively' remove votes which open the possibilities of rigged vote and this all started during last year Saimoe. Corruption, rigged votes, that's what really destroy a tournament. Everything become scripted.

Did the mod 'subjectively' remove votes again this year? Either way, don't have high expectation for this year tournament anyway.

Unfortunately JSaimoe was always a tournament that was heavily influenced by block voters. Saki especially is the biggest offender for that. Madoka is a close second. Anyway none of this matters anymore since JSaimoe has degenerated to please only some 2ch circles which is clearly reflected by the vote totals.

And yes, the mod (RUN) is at it again.

With Misaka going down, I'm questioning whether this tournament is relevant anymore.

Railgun losing that much of her vote is... nothing new. Happened last year and the year before that, that the very least.

Anyway...
