Anyways, training! Ah, the craziness of Toriko, where getting stronger means full manipulation of your cellular structure! Too bad Zebra is still being a dick about the whole situation despite getting nearly killed a couple chapters back, though.

You what I find interesting? Midora, Ichiryuu, and presumably Jirou all have strength on par with the 8 Kings, but they achieved this level of strength without even having eaten any of Acacia's full course.

Not much to say here, though. It's just more of the gang continuing their Enbu training (BTW, Terry and the other animal partners are training, as well). At first, the guys still have trouble learning the trick behind it, but then it all clicks together at one particular moment.... When the monkey king briefly gets angry that nobody found his hiding spot, his bloodlust covers the entire mountain! Toriko and co., feeling the overwhelming fear and sense of survival, finally found that their cells were in perfect harmony at that one moment! So it looks like a strong "will to survive" is the key to mastering Enbu! Kaka congratulates them on clearing the first stage of their training....

As a result of mastering the basics of Enbu, Toriko and co. are able to juggle several of those bugs at once (Toriko can do 30, and Sunny 50). Kaka even manages to convince Zebra to start juggling the bugs after she tells him that they become tastier the more they're juggled (interestingly, Zebra says he may even add them to his full course menu!). Meanwhile, it's revealed that the Denshark entered into a state of autotomy in order to better protect itself and Komatsu. The group then climb the mountain, and notice that the current gravity level has little effect on them due to the training. On the way up, they encounter the Iai-Aye, who brought a group of higher-ranking Enbu monkey warriors with him. As it turns out, they intend to help Toriko and co. train to further help them to master Enbu, and acquire its secret technique!

As time passes, the group has completed their training, and are about to reach the zenith, where the monkey king awaits. They plan to surprise him and make a grab for those balls!

Sounds awesome except for the last part about grabbing balls. Heh. They're juggling balls to get balls.

Time to dine on the first new spoilers of the new year!

Spoiler for 308:

This is an interesting chapter, since it shows what's going on around both the human AND gourmet worlds. Basically, the octopus already delivered a great deal of GW food to human world, and Mansam reveals that he sent a group of folks there to back up Toriko's gang. We see that backup group at Bewitching Food World (Zonge's among them BTW ), and they're told of Teppei's betrayal. However, Brunch is noticeably absent from the village. It turns out that Toriko entrusted him with a certain request..... which is to deliver Air to Midora at the new Bishokukai HQ!

We then shift to Neo's HQ. The Blue Nitros discuss Air and Komatsu, whom Joa says is more than a mere chef. She considers stealing Air, but the blue Nitros say that they should wait until the upcoming solar eclipse before stealing all of the legendary ingredients. They then discuss Pair and Area 7, which seems to be where that one hairy Nitro first met Acacia. It's also revealed that the hairy Nitro is indeed the one that Toriko and Komatsu encountered at Vegetable Sky! However, he doubts that the humans will be able to win against the monkey king and obtain Pair.....

The chapter ends with Toriko's gang preparing to face off against Bambina, who it seems has laid out a ring for them....

You're mistaken. The Nitro Toriko and Komatsu did see at the top of the Hozone Herb is Pair, Acacia's contact. The Nitro that killed Ichiryuu has a different color scheme.

This started feeling like Claymore with people awakening into beasts all over, but suddenly...a wild ring appears! Too bad it wasn't done Persona-style :P

On a more serious note, this feels rushed...or, at least, not padded at all. Is the author planning to end it within the year?

Anyway, if all the continent's monkeys gathered, I guess that includes the Enbu masters, as well. And considering that there's a ring, I hope we get to see some good ol'-fashioned tag team rasslin' against those guys, not unlike what you'd see in Kinnikuman.

But still, I kinda wish Shimabukuro went all the way and made some crazy Kinnikuman-style ring. Or at least make it some sort of TLC cage match or something, lol.
