Well luckily for Shinichi I don't think identifying Goto will be the problem . Just look for some crazy weird monster. That guy has clearly given up on the whole looking like people thing. That last attack by Migi might have really pushed him over the edge in terms of not caring about human appearances.
Mitsuyo was a cool character. I guess after all she's lost she's just insanely good to people in trouble. I'd worry about her being the type easily taken out by parasites honestly. But at the same time she helped Shinichi recover and gave him a chance to rest. I guess the possible and worrying thing is that Goto didn't let Migi die, but rather absorbed him. That in itself could allow for some tactical benefit if that is the case. Since otherwise I can't imagine the dream sequence making as much sense.

noooo Migi!!! Don't go.
Even now, Shinichi is attracting any female he comes across tohim. dang, don't underestimate the str. and wisdom of oba-sans. I think Goto probably tried to absorb Migi though, and Migi is fighting back, so Goto is going haywire and wild, instead of just leaving.

Although in truth even Parasyte reaction time wouldn't be able to deal with several rifle shots in quick succession or multiple snipers firing in unison, so truthfully caliber could be made up for with tactics. ---------- I get the obvious need to go to the woods for the final confrontation but wouldn't it have been wiser to drop by the police department? I know this series was written before cell phones were a thing but given they were far enough ahead to plan and execute a car bomb why not drop by a phone booth and give the Parasyte detectives a call? Dunno if phone booths were as popular in Japan as they were in the US before cellphones though. |

There aren't many great anime airing right now, but between Yona and Parasyte we have two of the best anime since Shin Sekai Yori imo. This episode of Parasyte really puts it perhaps even above Yona for me, they have clearly improved on the manga, the death of Migi was completely unexpected, yet beautifully done. We knew Shinichi had been changed by Migi, but we saw that Migi was changed too. Tamura Reiko may have been a totally unusual philosophical parasite - but Migi wasn't. Migi probably was one of the most intelligent parasites we saw in the series, but you get the impression he'd never "become a Reiko" without his unique relationship with Shinichi.
I truly have no idea what will happen next, I can imagine Migi regenerating, but no clue what is going to happen with Gotou. We can assume Migi's damage has caused Gotou to take on this monstrous form, like that parasite who posed as a student earlier in the series. Either that, or it's his 'true' form, with all his weapons firing at full capacity. |

This made me more sad than Shigatsu usually does, probably because it doesn't constantly beat you over the head with the all the feels(*hides from relentlessflame as I write that word*). So, without further ado...
MIGIIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!! ((((((((((( Shit...he's gone, though there are some cells of him left in Shinichi, I wonder if it'll be the same Migi. Someone bring Fukuda here, he'll revive him somehow. |

Migi's death scene kind of lacked impact for me, and not just because I knew it was coming. There was something about this scene in the manga that just gripped me more. Overall it was a good episode though. We finally got to see my other favorite girl, and watch two people realize just how much they meant to each other.

Great episode.
Oh wow. They're going to allocate an entire final episode to post-Gotou? That's unexpected, but looking forward to it. Hopefully there's some extra anime-only bits!

Spoiler for Ep 23:
This anime was pretty enjoyable. It had its ups and downs but it was really entertaining in general. It's a bit frustrating however because I feel it had potential to be much, much better - It was too focused on Migi and Shinichi and the other characters were all interesting enough to deserve more spotlight, imho. Now let's see how they conclude things next week.. |

Great and intense episode.
The only thing left that I hope they address is the remaining Parasytes. This was a global phenomenon, and Shinichi and Migi only took out one branch in one city. He is right, in that he can only protect those close to him. However, I guess the underlying theme is that humans will always win/destroy, so eventually, the Parasytes will lose out. They might end up going into seclusion, where you only hear myths about them, like Bigfoot or the Yeti.

Pretty good episode . The struggle itself was great and nice to see Shinichi continue fighting to the end. I'm still not sure if he was basically in superhuman mode still or not even after losing Migi, but regardless it was quite the fight.
So that was what Reiko was going on about....eh ok. I mean yeah living beings can be killed by poison, kind of a given but alright. Not exactly sure that makes them any more fragile than anything else in that respect. I certainly still wouldn't consider them fragile considering what they can do. The word loses meaning when you apply it to something like the parasites. Lesson learned, garbage heaps are dangerous . I'm certainly glad they changed their mind so many times and actually went back to finish off Gotou. Yeah, you have to put him down at that point. You can think as deeply as you want on it, but in the end the question is whether you want to keep living or not. If so then Gotou has got to go, he's not going to stop killing until something stops him. Good big battle and guess we'll see how things turn out for the end of the show.
