Well Naofumi stated in early chapter that he is pretty happy with his otaku lifestyle before summoned ---->the reason why he keep want to go back the whole series even after he got fame and the happy village. I see nothing wrong with otaku lifestyle unless u are Rudy who gave up on life if he face problem head on and live strong, I do not think he get his bad end before summoned.







PS:Convo269 is right, all the shield tamper is about Raphtalia's presence there so she and Nao can have a normal lifestyle as Naofumi wish for .Hm I did not read the last part of spear SS but is it not oblivious the time he decide return to real timeline with Raphtalia help?

Like I said, I'm surprised that his life is this together in general. It isn't because he's an otaku but because I don't know a lot of people who could manage college and homelife without problems and the things he said gave me a different impression. Hell, in engineering programs, they tell us at the beginning that we could have our school work or everything else, pick only one.

What he said at the beginning didn't give me the impression that it was absolutely terrible either, but it didn't suggest that it was THIS good. The options aren't only "horrible" or "perfect" but were he stands is above average. Yeah, that surprises me.

Dude, he is japanese. Their educational system is a bit different, you know? Besides, we don't know what Naofumi's university is and that matters in time and stuff too. As far as we know, he would have mentioned if it was medicine (which takes a lot of time studying), architeture or engineering, but he never mentioned such when he compounded stuff, peddled nor when he rebuilt the village.

I get the feeling that he was probably taking BBA, considering he was 21, he probably graduated highschool at 18-19 years of age and since he had a somewhat good business sense(though that seems to be from his game knowledge and personality rather than education)

As awesome as this is, I hope some dimensional gap story Like this Doesn't happen in the LN. I, for once, want Naofumi To personally fuck over a Couple of people With Wrath Shield X. Also, about The strengthening system for The Heroes, what is the one the shield Inherently Had? Was it the growth bonuses for the Companions? Since that Is The Only One The others didn't have Till Later. Actually, only Ren has it.
