Okay, volume 79 SBS info is leaking out! Here's some notable bits, with credit to AP's Sandman for summarizing them:


-We learn the favorite dishes that the Straw-Hats like to cook themselves:

Luffy: Raw meat on a plate
Zoro: Sashimi
Nami: Roast duck with orange sauce
Usopp: Fish and chips
Chopper: Mixed juice
Robin: Paella
Franky: Barbecue
Brooke: Churrasco

As far as Sanji goes, his specialty is seafood, but of course he's good at cooking just about anything. Also, excluding Sanji, the only other Straw-Hats with competent cooking skills are Nami, Usopp, and Robin.


-How would Dofla's executive officers look if Sanji beautified them with Parage Shot? Let's find out!

^I'm particularly amused by Trebol.

-Here's a rather interesting one: Seems like someone notes how many of Dofla's officers have DF abilities very similar to those of past characters. Oda says it's because there are separate "higher ranks" of certain devil fruits. We also get a small list of those fruit tiers:

Ton Ton (Machvise) > Kilo Kilo (Ms. Valentine)
Hie Hie (Aokiji) > Yuki Yuki (Monet)
Magu Magu (Akainu) > Mera Mera (Ace, Sabo)
Buki Buki (Baby 5) > Supa Supa (Mr. 1/Daz Bones)

^However, Oda also notes that a person with a higher tier ability is NOT necessarily stronger than those with the "lesser" ability.

-Luffy's Gear 4 design is based on Nio statues.

-We get a little more info on Rocinante (aka Corazon):

Height: 293cm (roughly 9 feet, 7 inches in non-metric measurements)
Favorite foods: Cabbage, lettuce, umeboshi
Least favorite foods: Bread, pizza

-It's confirmed that Hiluluk's (Chopper's father figure's) birthday is January 12th. Oda then proceeds to say that he doesn't really care much about his characters' birthdays..... yet he went ahead and made a calendar featuring them, anyway!!! FYI, it's not Oda who makes the birthdays. They're ideas submitted by fans. Oda merely rolls along with it and makes 'em official.

Volume 80 is here, so you know what that means! Here's a few nuggets of SBS goodness, starting with...... DONQUIXOTE FAMILY AS KIDS!!!

As far as various other info goes (credit goes to AP's Sandman for these, BTW):


-Corazon's devil fruit ("Nagi Nagi") comes from the Japanese word for "calm".

-CP9's hometown from their ministory has a tower that seems to be based on the one seen in Jiangxin Island in China.

-Sabo began sympathizing with the RA's ideology when he was 10 years old. At that time, Hack was the one training the orphans who came under their care, but even back then, Sabo was so strong that there wasn't much the fish-karate master could teach him. Thus, Sabo was placed under Dragon's care since then, and has become even more powerful. It seems he was 13 when he began training with Luffy's father.

-As far as Koala goes, she joined the RA when she was 14 years old. She and Hack took good care of Sabo, and they often worked together on missions. Oda says that some of their past relationship was shown in the anime (probably referring to that Sabo special), but he might not have enough time to address that in the manga.

-Despite the view people have of One Piece and Naruto being bitter rivals, the truth is, Oda and Kishimoto were good friends for a long time.

-Someone asks what the decoration for Shirahoshi's hair is supposed to be. Oda answers that it's a Taiyaki.

-Oda draws how Fujitora imagines Luffy to look like (check here, near the bottom of the page).

-The name of the gorilla hanging around Sengoku is "Uhho-kun". He enjoys okaki (a Japanese rice snack).

-Birthdays incoming! Gonna quote Bond en Avant for this one:

Don Sai commands the Happou Navy, which consists of one Happousai ship and 7 smaller Ippousai ships.
Cavendish's ship is the White Horse of the Sleeping Forest.
Hajruddin's ship is Naglfarl.
Bartolomeo's ship, we already know is the Going Luffy-senpai.
Ideo and Leo don't have ships of their own yet. They hitched on Orlumbus' ships for the time being.

I don't think it was really explained in an SBS, but I'm pretty sure it was explained that they have a "brotherly rivalry".

I mean, it's obvious they don't HATE each other.... it's just, as two manly men... they need to prove who's the better...

Because i would like to know if Zoro vs Sanji goes to really serious situation just like Luffy vs Zoro at Alabasta due to misunderstood.

I fan of both Zoro and Sanji because of plenty of Zoro vs Sanji ever since from Nami's homeland.
