That was a good introduction. Now, I wonder where the story will take us. This will either become another generic harem show, or it could potentially be a really good story. Looking forward to see where this is heading.

He could have, but it seems he wasn't really that into the role. He was probably forced into it and didn't really know what he should do.

Assuming there's various degrees on devoutness in the secret order.

This guy was handed a suicide mission from 10 years ago. Either he was going to die exploding, or run away and get killed for being a traitor/failing (like what happened to the other guy that got killed by the golems)

So he was letting the teacher decide for him. Just a spineless guy.

I found ep 3 disappointing. Especially the bit where being stabbed by half a dozen swords is nothing more than a minor inconvenience.

Since the show is a bit rushed with respect to giving explanations but seems great otherwise, I just recommend checking out the manga/LN as supplements for those people who care more about enjoyment than sticking to weird principles of only watching the anime for whatever reason and ignoring the other content that the work was originally in the form of...

I feel like the manga simply did this episode better. With the old teacher caring a little about his students, the Sistine healing bit and also (at least where the manga is concerned), Lumia thanks Glenn for saving her in the past while he was sleeping on her lap.

That's what you get for stabbing non-vital points :P I liked the after-healing effects, Glenn groaning saying he can still move...and then he sprints!

Episode 3 was indeed fast-paced, but the battles were pretty good. While I didn't really like Glenn's choice of turning his back to Huey and crawling on the teleportation circles till he drops, Huey's character is not often seen, so it added a lot to the event.

Well, it was a speedrun for me. At least they keep a good moments there. I like the bet with class 1 instructor

But the best part is, how it is everything based on Glenn "strategy"

To be honest this feels like a filler episode that was rushed. As always Lumia the best.

Man they sure aren't wasting time, in the same episode they introduce the tournament arc in they're already what feels like halfway through it. They probably cut some stuff it seems. Glenn's internal monologues of panic contrasting his outer words was rather funny. It was heartwarming to see him instinctually leap to the defense of his students when the arrogant Harley started to get uppity. Looks like the subplot of Rumia and her mother is going on in the background. Also looks like the knight commander is up to something, probably going to try to have Rumia killed with that comment of concern about if Rumia's being alive gets out.

Wow that Mind Break professor is SUPER creepy isn't he?

Principal: "Let's fire him......"

I admit I loled.

I'm really amazed at how beautiful the animation this series gets considering the trend these days.

This episode is even better paced than the previous one lol

Not everyday u get to see a teacher MIND BREAK a cute female student in public lol

It's kinda nice to have a break this episode and I don't mind the pacing cause the whole preparation and contests seem boring. And yeah, I'm amazed too at how the quality is still being maintained so well till this episode.

Actually, you are wrong, there was a good moments in the preparation. Also the whole talking with principal about money was written better.
