I was looking forward to this EP from a novel perspective: terrible. But then they tried to mesh pretty much all of Book 2 in this two EPs then throw in a very out of place powerful character who shouldn't be there. I guess Ward keeps his arm too. Poohey.

Not looking forward to the next EP actually. While I liked the novel, I know I'll barely recognize the story.

at last i finally got to see this -.-
well i havent read the novel so i cnt compare but it was pretty obvious that this ep was rushed...too many things happened too quickly...and the fight didnt last long enough
quite disappointed when compared with ep 10...
but i did like the ending where they kissed but even so its not like saito so i guess some parts before the kiss was skipped...7/10

i whole heartedly loved this episode. It was nice to see some real out pouring of emotion from Saito. Up tiill now we really hadent seen that kind emotion from him. The man is stranded in another world, treated like crap, doesnt understand a lot of things but he always smiled and kept going. This time however he was very pained about the possibilty of not only losing Louise but not being able to protect her. I think that is the sign of his love.

That knight dude was such an ass im glad that Saito went all Fate Stay Night Saber on his ass, even though it wasent a killing blow. Seem like his power applfies with his emotions but also seem strong when Louise is involved. It sucks they couldnt stop the all his plans having completed 2 of them. I think Louise was going to go through with the Marriage because she didnt think Saito cared for anymore. She kept thinking about him and had a sad face when she accepted. That kiss was perfectly done and well deserved.

I guess my perdiction was right about Louise being in the same blood line as another Void magican that old guy said so when he showed up at the church

I didn't feel like it was 'rushed,' though I've never read the novels so I'm indifferent to begin with... I thought the episode was great, actually. Wald was too obvious of a villain; if they had made him seem more pure in episode 10 I think there would have been more shock factor, but it isn't that important considering we got to see Saito own him. One thing that annoys me is how Saito is constantly called a commoner/peasant; I know the people in this world don't understand, but still...

One disadvantage - the fight between Saito and Ward. It was slow and poor. Single-hit kill? Meh, he only scratched his arm...

Rushed or not,this episode was very enjoyable.We got a nice fight scene and Guiche was actually useful for once!

As I suspected Louise really is the legendary Void Mage.Now the next question is,what does a Void Mage do anyway?Ward was obsessed with making Louise his wife as soon as possible and even went has far as a mind control spell.What terrible powers are hidden inside Louise?I look forward to the next episodes

there is very good hint in episode 5 just how strong Louise is. If you watch the fight she has with Fouquet you will see it. Just think how it will be once she control it a bit more which is next week episode.

Wow, this one was a great episode. It's just a shame that Saito's battle was too quick.

On this episode being rushed, I'm not sure they have much a choice, given they're trying to squeeze some 2 or so volumes of novel in the last few eps. I've always been of the opinion this series needs more episodes (mostly because it's just so damn fun), but there's clearly not enough to drag it out for a 20-something ep season. Anyway, for a series like this, I'd rather it be rushed than dragged out.

Saito is just impossible not to like in this series. He shows a strength of character I'd really appreciate seeing more often in a male lead in anime. He's, for lack of a better word, just heroic, and he steals the scene almost whenever he's on screen. He probably isn't quite as charasmatic as Hakuoro (who are the two stand-out male leads in action series so far this year), but I'd say they compare as far as respectability is concerned... which really reflects well on Saito, for those who know what Hakuoro is like.

Plot twists continue to be totally predictable. Not that I care, this series isn't supposed to be unpredictable. It is supposed to be fun, and it goes without saying that this episode was. I'm not sure if we've seen the best that this series has to offer. It's probably more likely than not that we have, though. But, I think, as long as it doesn't try to be totally serious and then blow it by failing to be loyal to what it does best (ie, unbridled fun), then I don't see why I should complain too much.

I definitely agree with these points. This episode gave me mixed feelings throughout, and without a doubt we knew how it would end up (well almost). Really kinda speedy, inner plot, conflict, resolution; Sooo Faaasst! The little details that are being introduced are quite interesting though; mainly the void mage lineage, which explains a few things.

I did in fact enjoy the episode, but it really pushes me towards finding the novels and reading them in a language I hardly understand. I know I know, so sad for Siesta, but I'm glad Saito came to a clearer view of his feelings. SaitoXLouise just needed a catalyst to shake things up a notch.

Nice atmosphere to the show, its a good show, not magnificent, but fun and enjoyable. I can't complain much else since I haven't read the novels, and the characters are all cute.

I don't know the full extent of a Void mage's power, but it's reasonable to assume that the ability to nullify and maybe even control other elements would be a part of the power available to a void mage.

Also remember when Louise attacks the golem and misses. She hits the magically fortified wall and basically the attack completely ignores the magical protection and destroys the wall. Another (rather strong) hint that a void mage can nullify other elements.

This is merely speculation on my part of course, I haven't read the novels unfortunately.

i hated this episode. rather than trying to fit the novels into 14 episodes, they could have just done a deviation from the story after episode 3 or so.

yes that is another way of thinking about it...when i hear void i immediatly associated it with shadow or something similar...but now after reading that i found that "null and void" also goes with it...i id guess yours is right

I'm still behind, and the show has already ended.

Saito and Louise correlation with each other takes a dramatic turn from here, as they are conscious on what they feel for each other.

Given Ward's deception, I think that maybe the Ward Louise knew in her childhood never existed at all; he was a facade to earn her trust and admiration.
The Ward that's aligned with ReConquista is the true one.

We have several key points addressed:
1. The blonde man, who must be either the spokeman or leader to ReConquista, divulges out on the open air obvious references to Louise as the Void Mage.
Since Derrflinger confirms that Saito's the legendary familiar, Gandalfr, summoned only by the one Void Master, then I can assume for certain that Louise's is the Void master.

2. What could be the contents of the letter? I first thought it was a love letter from Wales to Henrrieta, however, the pieces all came tó place after the Prince mentioned ReConquista.

The letter could either address names of those identified and involved with the organization, a report on what are their arms, or an armistice to request political debates between Tristein and Albion for dialogue to soften tensions between the two countries and preventing war from coming into frutition.

A complain for this episode is that the events leading from Louise's meeting with Wales up to Saito breaking in at the wedding were too sudden and thought the pace sacrificed momentum to enact each characters' actions.

It could be possible that they traveled back in time for a specific event.
