Unhappy

Ok, I finally found this darn thread. Came across it last week but wanted to post something.

Let's see shows that made me either cry or tear up.

-Barefoot Gen (Lets see, dropping the bomb, people dying, families lost. Just an overall depressing film. If not disturbing. Far more depressing than 'Grave of the Fireflies') teary-eyed to tears

-Fruits Basket (Aside from being too busy laughing my ass off, once a resolution happens on part of Toru the "tear-jerker" music would play and choke me up. Yes, even cheesines can make you cry) -teary-eyed

-Brigadoon Marin and Melan (Despite all the s**t that was going on when the show got serious I got teary eyed when Marin kissed Melan on 2 occassions) -teary eyed to tears.

-D4 Princess (When the second half of the show said, lets drop the side-splitting comedy and stab you in the ass while we kill off the protagonist's rival and best friend in a heroic yet horrible way) -teary-eyed

-Jubei-chan (When Koinosuke finally departed. Damn he was funny as hell!) -teary-eyed

-Rozen Maiden (The final fight and goodbye) -teary-eyed

-Konjiki no Gash Bell (Since it is a loooooooog show. Pretty much any episodes that moves me concerning 'Gash' and the demons) -teary-eyed

-Saikano (Pretty much anytime the situation between 'Chise' and 'Shuji' would either worsen until the end) -teary-eyed

-BLOOD+ (When 'Saya' broke down after hearing the story about the 'Zoo' deal. When
Spoiler:
Oh and that damn composer) -teary eyed

-Elfen Lied (Considering how bloody, violent and depressing certain things were in this show there was that one little ray of hope toward the end that touched me. Even though I was choked up on everything else.
Spoiler:
SUCH....WARM...FEELINGS.... -teary eyed over and over.

-Devilman Lady (Considering that this was a depressing show to begin with. When 'Jun' cried for having to kill, when that little fire girl was finally laid to rest, when the cop saw 'Jun' in her beast form cry, when one of the 'Underground Girls',
Spoiler:
when
Spoiler:
and when that damn composer would play a piece at the right time when all this crap was happening. He knew I would frigging cry!! DAMMIT!!! )
-teary-eyed A LOT to tears A LOT!!

-WITCHBLADE (Around episodes 20-24[END]) -teary-eyed

Fushigi Yuugi when Tamahome visits his family after the whole Suboshi thing. Must have been dehydrated after crying so much. I was inconsolable.

Fruits Basket I think ep 8 or so when Tohru goes to live with her extended family and they're total jerks and she misses Kyo and Yuki and they show up and tell her family off and take her home.

I get misty during the scene of FLCL when Canti flies and Mamimi is watching him and Hybrid Rainbow is playing in the background. Very moving.

Utena, last episode, I always cry a lot. And I'm never entirely sure why.

AIR - Aozora coupled with the ending scene... fatal combination! I was weeping.

Gundam SEED Destiny - When Asuka sliced the battleship where the Captain who was his benefactor was on board. The ED started playing, and I was crying.

Honey & Clover - When Yamada cried and confessed that she loved Mayama. When Hagu said she tried finding clover leaves for her Shuu-chan, but she cried because she failed. And a lot more scenes in H&C I and II.

Saishu Heiki Kanojo - One of Chise's friends, in Episode 9, was inflicted with several fatal injuries. She finally died, whilst saying her final words. I can't remember the exact scene now, but I've never cried so badly for one episode, so I remember crying instead of what happened in the episode.

... And a LOT more small scenes in numerous other animes which I teared up.

The only anime that came close to making me cry was Siakano.

The only manga to come close to making me cry was the 6th voume of Negima. The story line of that volume sukced so badly i almost cried becasue i never thought Akamatsu would have such a sever lapse in creativity.

Normally I don't easily cry with anime / manga, but Versailles no Bara never fails at this task.

It gets me caught so deep emotionally, I ALWAYS start to cry and I even have the feeling it gets worse because I already know what's going to happen and you can bet by the last episodes of the series my eyes start to get watery...
Same with the Manga by the same title by Riyoko Ikeda, halfway through I have difficulties reading because of my tears blurring the vision

The first time i saw Naruto Episode 19

The end of Air

The end of Chrno Crusade

Some moments in Wolf's Rain

Some moments in Onegai Teacher/Twins

Well that's it for the moment, let's say that even if i look like a "tough" guy, some Animes/Movies easily make me cry, sometimes in sad moments, sometimes in too happy moments :P ...

I never really cried, but had tears threatening to come out for these few:

-Chrno Crusade's ending
-Cardcaptor Sakura anime ending
-Lilim Kiss (manga)

Not really many things can make me cry, or even shed tears, but some do get me more emotional than others.

The series that made me cry most recently was Welcome to the NHK!. Although some people find problems with its incoherent and inconsistent animation sometimes, simply the unraveling of events in ep13 and ep14 moved me like no other airing show did. (I have no qualms about the animation whatsoever.)

GaoGaiGar FINAL 08. The sacrifice GGG made, totally different from the overall tone of the series.
