Why are CDs Tend to be Released on Wednesdays?

While indexing upcoming CD releases for some 2006 fall anime shows, I noticed a pattern: all CDs that I'd indexed are to be released on Wednesdays. Why is it so? Is Wednesday the profitable day of the week?
