how do you quote only certian parts of what ppl say no the whole thing only the sentence/paragraph... that you want to clarify/or question all in teh same responce

i have done it but it takes like five min cause i keep rewriting [/quote]... it gets annoying

If there's an easier way, I'd like to know it. I use basically two different methods depending on my mood.

Method 1: I type [/quote] and [quote] every time I want to reply to the quote.

Method 2: I copy-paste the entire quote multiple times and then I delete the parts I'm not responding to.

another question involing quotes
the thing that just say quote at the bottem of teh reply box sends you to a reply not just a quick reply what do teh two things nexxt to it do, the
+quote and teh paper with an arrow around it

This is the multiquote button. If you click it, it will light up like this: . You can click it on as many different posts as you'd like. Then when you click the post reply button you will get to reply with all of those posts quoted. That is why it is called "multiquote"! Cool eh?

This is the quick reply button. Clicking on it will activate the quick reply button at the bottom. Then if you click the box labeled "Quote message in reply?" right under the entry box, it will automatically quote the message when you post the reply.

When you click on the "+quote" button, it allows you to quote multiple posts at the same time, you need to click the "+quote" button in the field of each posts you're interested in (switches to "-quote when activated), and finally click "quote" on one of them or post reply" to activate the script. The spoiler tag that follows shows that action with the last 3 (edited (....)) posts.

The "quick reply to this message" button, i'm not really sure, looks like it only brings you at the bottom of the page in the quick reply field. In the beginning I thought it was a quick reply "to poster" via PM with the quoted post.. ah well.

Go to sites like http://imageshack.us/ and upload your image, then just follow the instructions there.

To place an image in a post you must first upload it to a imagehost site like ImageShack.us or xs.to

Both of these sites offer this service for FREE

When uploading images in ImageShack ...

1. Make sure you have these selected...
   
   
   
   In some cases the second is better unselected, to warn other members of high load time and the actual size of the image (for example a 2000x2000 resolution image)
   
   
2. Make sure you copy the Hotlink to forums (1), it's design so that one click will select it all, for easy use Also it contains the VBulletin code necessary for the image to be visible directly in the forum, with the settings above the image, no matter how big it is will show in the forum.
   
   
   
   
3. When uploading large images make sure you copy the Thumbnail for forums (1)

Little tips.

• Don't post huge images in the forum (as in don't post them in the forum at there actual size, as long as they fit in a normal window it should be fine) if you have a large one then post the thumbnail.
• Try to avoid clicking Back in your browser. It tends to either cause errors or increase uploading time, well that's how it seemed from my perspective Just use the frog icon on the left (it's a button )

How do I place an link in an image ?
