Yeah, I thought it was still ongoing too. the translations supposedly caught up with the raws and it doesn't seem over.

Does anyone have Rei Hiroe's Barrage artbook?

Is all of the art from Black Lagoon? I wanna pick it up the next time I'm at Kinokuniya.

I loved the anime series of Black Lagoon, so it'd be awesome to see another. How many mangas (roughly) did each season/barrage encompass? I suspect we're probably a few mangas-short before there's enough content?

I'm not familiar with the mangas myself, but a friend of mine says the series follows pretty closely, so I don't think a remake as a set of OVAs would be that good, as I felt the pacing of the series was very good so they'd either be cramming things in, or skipping bits.

She's a real badass, but dunno why ppl like Roberta so much. It takes sooo long for her clothes to be torn up enough.

I'm the same, so I end up getting into other series while waiting, only to find that I want more of them too and have only added to my list of shows I want more of

The first two series covers the first 43 chapters, which is basically everything up to the 2nd maid arc - El Baile de la muerte.

The 2nd maid arc is the only thing unanimated and it's still going, as far as I know it's 28 chapters long so far, more than enough for 13 episodes, but they will probably wait until its done to animate.

Technically, yes, but in reality no. There are enough material to fill 13 episodes, but there would be no ending. The new story arc need to finish first for the anime to have a proper conclusion.

Is the latest arc really that long? I suppose they could just break it into two 12 episode seasons again, one in the fall, and then summer next year.

But that way you could run into a situation where the anime had already shown all the manga material but the story wasn't finished yet...

Hmm... I say go for a 12 episode season with a cliffhanger, then when the manga's far enough ahead again make another 12 episode season. Rinse and repeat.

Is the Roberta arc still continuing? The last chapter I read had Garcia and Fabiola in a swimming pool, ending with Garcia making some kind of resolve.
