Pretty Cure is seeing a revival on 4chan, too.

Frankly I don't get it either... The season is good but it's not really all that different than it's been the past 6 years.

Perhaps it's just _time_, as they say.

Well i know for a lot of us, it being basically a sequel to Casshern Sins is one hell of a bonus while watching.

And for some of us, it's the closest thing to a sequal to Ojamajo Doremi. Just for the slightly old skool mahou shoujo fans...

I also think Mizuki Nana voicing tsubomi had some effect. Surely some otakus must have thought 'I'll watch the first episode to hear Nana-chan', it's part of the reason why I started it too.

We getting some major revelations like 1 cour in, that is twice of the speed of other seasons, which takes about 2 cours to get anywhere. The physical fight scenes is back from the first generation too. More consistant animation too.

I hope they stick to the 'two episodes filler, then plot episode' formula. At the beginning it was alright having a lot of filler because we were still getting used to the themes and style of the show, though now we're past that.

I only know Futari wa Pretty Cure and Fresh Pretty Cure, and they don't have a very fast development plot wise.

Well, we knew it was going to have plot, but that was rather more than I expected.

After watching this latest episode, I'm convinced that the big boss is none other than the missing father of Yuri / Cure Moonlight. He went missing in search of the Heart Tree, in the opening you see him and Cure Moonlight in the same shot (interesting enough, when they're introducing the bad guys), and Dark PreCure has now made statements to the effect that she and Cure Moonlight are one and the same person. Could they possibly drop more hints?

Yeah i'd believe the speculation that end boss is Yuri's Father, especially with that shot in the OP. I mean we learnt that he has been missing for three years, and looking for the heart tree pretty much makes him an obvious target for this theory.

I guess the only matter the hints aren't being dropped on is the mystery of the good looking guy who keeps on saving our heroes.

Interesting speculation, and seeing as though there's pretty much no one else it could be, then yes i'd agree. Wouldn't say it's obvious though.

No. Every season gets a little climax around 25-26th episode (middle of the series). Max Heart had more plot though, took a while till Hikari was introduced.

-First thing I noticed. NIHON! TAKAHASHI HIROKI! Yeah.
-Tsubomi is actually weirder then Erika this episode.
-Erika breathing through a bamboo pipe was hilarious...The weird superdeform faces are always win.
-The final attack is some sort of healing method I guess?

-The animation had quite a bit of QUALITY moments yet there was some scenes with really smooth animation. I guess Toei had some tight deadlines. Hopefully it'll be fixed for the DVD, not that I'll ever have the chance to see that
-I never really thought that Yuri was born human, I expected her to be more of a magical being. Born in some other universe and Yuri was just her identity on Earth.
-Too much deux ex machina with Zetsubo Megane. Yeah. Koppe-sama being Zetsubo Megane as a theory? Are we getting interspecie romance here similar to Pretty Cure 5?
-I agree with the theory that the Professor is Yuri's father. Look at the hair! IT seems to make sense that the Professor used his own daughter as the blue print for Dark Pretty Cure. How did a random dad in Japan knew about the Heart Tree? Looks like there might be a little bit of sci-fi...
-I have a feeling that powerful attack from Dark Pretty Cure's yellow must have some sort of limitation. Probably sucks her life energy or something.
-There's alot of plot established in 13 episodes (for a mahou shoujo like this), I can see the pacing being quite constant. Hopefully some plot episode is fairly frequent. Yuri and Dark Pretty Cure would have alot of character development I believe.
-Erika's 'Onee-chama' was adorable...I swear Shizuka Itou's reaction must be the total opposite of Momo-nee.

-Mother's day episode. Of course there's going to be one.

It might be filler, but that was some high class heartwarming filler, IMO. The character of the day seemed to steal the spotlight here, but that wasn't really a problem with how the episode was structured, and I expect it might've been done to give the main Seiyuu a little bit of a mid-season break.

So, the student council president comes back into it. About time. Interesting that Tsubomi still seems to be gushing over her though. Not just in the small parts of the episode we saw, but in the preview voiceover as well. I wonder if they're laying down the hints for her to become the 3rd.

That was such a A+ heartwarming episode. I wasn't expecting something like this from a filler, which was truly a nice surprise. Finding out the reason why Nanami was saying a smile is the most important was such a hard hitting scene. I was in complete tears just from that alone.

Looking forward to the return of the student council president next week. It's about time i say.

-That was one big tear jerker filler episode. Didn't expect a filler episode to be a tear jerker.
-NamiNami would be part of the fasion club long with the 3 random girls and trap-chan Itsuki.
-So the Heart flower can be locked? Wonder would they change the format of troubled-person-of-the-week monster around mid-way? Shugo Chara changed it from little purple thingies to actual person transformation. As much as I think Toei might be inspired/reminded by Shugo Chara to do the troubled person trapped in a monster trope, Toei definitely did a better job.
-The animation is better this week then last week...despite last week was a plot episode... I can't spot any terrible QUALITY moment.

-Itsuki is back next episode...I wonder would she wear that cute dress thingie from the manga
-What is Pretty Cure without the yuri undertones? ^_^;;
