What are the dimensions, and what is the format (.png?)? As soon as I know, I'll make and upload the icons, yakusoku no yubikiri.

Aww, there are lots of advantages to having a Linux, number one namely having the ability to really customize and make it incredibly unique, however, I don't blame you for wanting a Mac. I've never regretted making the switch, though admittedly sometimes I really wish I still had a PC around (mostly so I can stop pissing off my apartment-mate over his laptop).

No worries.

For regular icons, right-click and click Properties. There should be a "Change Icon..." button under the Customize tab.

For the "special" icons like My Computer, Recycle Bin, etc., go to your Control Panel, then go to Display (maybe it's "Appearance and Themes"), and click on the Desktop tab. Click on the "Customize Desktop..." button, and from there you can select which icons you want to change.

PNGs at the same sizes as Windows and OS X will work just fine for most any Linux window manager/desktop environment.

True enough, although Linux runs just fine on Mac hardware or, more conveniently, in a virtual machine on OS X.

OS X and Linux are two haves of my whole computing philosophy. Windows only enters in when I'm required to use it for a particular program or, far more often, I have to fix it for some one else.

The 4-koma/manga comparison caught me by surprise because I was under the impression that the manga was just a collected works of the 4-koma. Artist's right to "improve" I guess (and more incentive for fans to buy???). When I buy American comic collections like "Get Fuzzy", I'm not looking for "improvements"... interesting.
