I don't know about you but that tells me that Grayfia is going to be framed or Euclid will slander her name and Issei will be coming to her rescue.

Well there wasn't much doubt from the beginning. Rather than bringing in a new character it was best to just go with someone who already has some development. She fits all of Ise's preferences, and it was implied that her "terrorist" problem would be solved soon.

Anyway, from the preview it seems this volume is going to have major developments all over the place. We have the whole Valerie/Gasper situation, another fight with Grendel, and a fight with the leader of the Khaos Brigade (plus Sun Wukong and Indra appearances).

Also, it seems the leader of the Khaos Brigade might be the user of Incinerate Anthem. Either that or the leader of Hexennacht makes a separate appearance.

I didn't really doubt that also, but I expected that it will be after they clear up the "terrorist charges"(which will be done soon from what your saying, thanks for the info), anyway I still have to read Vol. 15.

I don't see how the ending of the preview makes it seem like the novel is coming to an end any time soon. At the rate we're going now and with some much still left to be said I can see DxD going on for another 3 years at least. Possibly even longer.

Well considering the DxD is already starting and the whole series is called DxD it's safe to assume the climax of the story is coming.

Yeah, that's possible, although there are a few other factor's, apart from the plot, that decide for how long the novels are going to continue ... the primary ones being it's popularity and the writer's / author's idea's to continue the story without repeating himself and dropping the works quality, in case he has to think of new plot points, that could be added into the story that weren't prepared earlier.

After all, it's really hard to say, how many things, the author has prepared as a backup plan, in case High School DxD continues to be quite popular, apart from the Shiva arc.

On a slightly different topic, I'm starting to wonder if the author hasn't exhausted the oppai related gags, which is the reason why, he started to switch to, the gags related, to Asia's panties being the price to get Fafnir's cooperation ... after all, from the looks of it ... volume 16 is going to have some scene related to that, as well.

Yep, the climax might be already starting, but it's still going to take some before the story is completely resolved, after all ... judging from the preview of volume 16, there are still some things that the author is keeping us in the dark about.

Not to mention, we still haven't got a big bad (unless you treat the entire Khaos Brigade as that, but if that's the case ... we still don't know who is their actual true leader) ... and I think that, for action genre stories, which DxD partially belongs to, having a central antagonist that is behind most of the conflicts that occur in the story, is a pretty standard requirement.

@Somethindarker maybe..but I kind of doubt it. And even if its approaching the climax a lot of the times that's the longest part of a series. I still think we aren't anywhere near the end and I hope I'm right. We'll see though.

I think it has been used to resurrect / strengthen the Evil Dragons.

The reason, why I think that might be the case, is caused by the fact that Grendel has managed to withstand Ise's punches that have been covered with Ascalon's dragon slaying aura, and as we know ... Ophis managed to do a similar thing against Samuel's curse.

Basically, Khaos Brigade might have duplicated this ... ability, in someway using the power of Ophis as it's source.

I don't think that the stolen power of Ophis was used to bring back the evil Dragons, but was used to increase there power.

Well, that's a pretty shocking revelation. The only thing that I'm wondering about is ... how another Lucifer was capable of surviving without being noticed by the three factions.

I can't wait for the volume to appear already.

But, I guess my speculation about Rias also being in trouble has been confirmed, judging by that synopsis.

Yeah, that's quite likely ... but, personally I wonder what kind of familial relation Vali and the new character have.

After all, since both of them are Lucifer's ... they both have some ties with the Old Maou ... and each other.

Hmm, I doubt its his dad. Maybe his uncle or his brother(pure blood). Cao Cao did say that his parents abadoned him because they were afraid of Vali, and I cant see someone who is afraid of his own son has the caliber to become the new head of Khaos Brigade. Though, I could be wrong.

Oh. And the new Lucifer is the first Devil to have a middle name! He really seems like an elite out of elite. And I'm hoping he's a Super Devil.

A mutation from a Maou household certainly sounds stronger than a mutant from a High-class Devil household.
