Yeah, that was my first tought too. However, it's kinda strange if you ask me.
In chapter 90, Cynthia did the exact same thing and, if I remember correctly, no one said anything.
It's probrably because they are alone in this new chapter while in 90, there was a huge retarded Awakened Being in the backround, spoiling the fluffy moment.

I said it sounded badly written, very much so, but I also said to have faith in Yagi, since the last one that sounded bad like this turned out to be good too.

We was right about Riful she cottoned on to what was happening as soon as the fight started and it seems like she really does either love or cares about Dauf alot.

About Alicia + Beth:

Alicia is a lot smaller then I originally though, and her body actually remains extremely human, it is just her upper Torso and above which seem to be noticeably different. Alicia is also extremely fast and strong, as expected.
Although she seems to be pressing Riful quite heavily, which indicates she probably is stronger then Riful, as the Organization believed. She also annihilated Dauf's arm with incredible ease (not too surprising, but still impressive)

Beth seems to be able to defend herself quite well, and can even dodge Dauf's Rods with her eyes closed (which is damn impressive). Although she seems to have no desire to go on the offense. Whether this is by choice or necessity, I'm not sure yet.

Although I would like to note I was right that Beth is not helpless during Soul-Link.

Riful and Dauf:

Riful's Awakened Form in action is always a sight to see, upon fulling awakening her damage seems to disapear, but Alicia is destroying her ribbons with no trouble at all.

Not looking good for the Loli of the West

Riful also seems to be very concerned about Dauf's well being, as I (and many others) expected, she does care quite a bit about Dauf.

Raciella:

Is now apparently semi-active and lashed out at Clare (so much for her being Clare's pet, at least for now) and has just lashed out at everything within hundreds of miles. The destructive power is damn impressive, Dauf now has two holes in him the size one of the one Jean produced + chunks of his body going missing, and Riful got hit by even more due to her size.

Alicia seems to have dodged them all without injury though, and seems to being going in for the kill against Riful.

Those giant spikes are quite worrying, if they turn into some Abyssal Eater like beings, the whole Island is now officially in deep Sh!t.

The Ghosts:

Clare: seems to be adjusting to Raphaela's memories still, judging by the headache, and manage to avoid Raciella's attack quite well.

Helen + Deneve: looks like their worries were quite correct, and judging by all the spines near the three of them, Clare will be needing the back-up against whatever is coming.



On that note, I wonder if the people in Rabona are also dealing with a sudden infestation of whatever is coming out of those spines. I'd love to see Miria and everyone else in Rabona get in on the Raciella induced chaos.

and killer cliffhanger as usual, as expected of Yagi.

First thoughts, I was surprised at how small Alicia is compared to Dauf anf Riful. It looked like Dauf figured out to go after Beth. Raciella attacks everyone, and Riful takes a lot of damage fast from Raciella. I'm not sure I like how fast, but judging by the size of those holes that will be a lot harder to recover from than the bite to the head. From facial expression, I think Raki is gonna head on over there. The manga could be nearing its end, which I don't like, of course.
