*deep breath*Vita was the result of that one night with Vice and Shamal which Signum said she was okay with because she still loved both of them, but even so she still wouldn't resolve the love triangle by choosing one of them over the other, so everyone looked dramatically at everyone else until it was finally resolved by Signum getting into a tragic blender accident and losing her head. Distraught, Shamal ran off with Vita into the night because her contract was running up.

That was last season, this season, set one year later, Vita returned as a now romantically viable 12 year old, with her mother no where to be seen. Vice, still holding a candle for Signum despite having slept with Nanoha, Lindy, Shari, Alto and Acous in the meantime, welcomed back his daughter into his life. To Vice's shock and the shock of hundreds of viewers (but not those who read Lyrical Opera weekly, which had been predicting the twist for weeks), Vita announced that her father was actually Griffith and not Vice and that she was now a licensed medical surgeon who had returned at the request of Shamal in order to preform a dangerous head transplant procedure on Signum.

After the surgery, Signum (now played by a different actress) reveals that the tragic blender accident that killed her was no accident but instead set up by Hayate, who had her murdered to keep it a secret that Vita was her child and not Shamal's. And that Vita's father wasn't actually Vice OR Griffith but instead she had been born through a new form of asexual reproduction Hayate had been experimenting with!

Shocked by the revelation that her short life had all been a lie, Vita runs into the arms of Erio, who was recuperating from the tragic pogo stick related death of his long time (2 weeks of episodes) girlfriend Caro. They chastely held hands and Eskimo kissed for a week until Hayate looked up Erio in a phone book and came to take back her daughter.

Vita goes on the run trying to escape her crazed mother. Alas, Vita gets cornered by Hayate on a very steep cliff, in the middle of a storm. It appears Vita has no choice but to use the mountain repelling skills she gained from her fake mother Shamal when New Signum appears and tackles Hayate off the cliff, never to be seen again.

Until next week that is.

Yeah, and if my suspicion is correct, we won't hear from "Maruko" ever again(I'll PM you with the reason why). Hope you don't mind that I left a review, and I know I've said to just ignore them, but there is a minor exception to that rule if you have someone else distinct reply to them. The right words can turn their own fanbase against them, and then they rapidly disappear. Anon trolls are cowards by their very nature.

Although I suspect that, eventually, a "new" anon reviewer will pop up with the exact same type of language and resume attacks. I'm partially hopeful they do; I've been making notes and tracking things, and it'll be a pleasure to tie all those anon accounts back to one person.

While that's fine, just remember you shouldn't go into writing with negative feelings. Don't work on it because you're spiting the trolls, work on it because you want to express your support for the pairing and those who write it

The person in question has said they're stopping, so let's put this all behind us and move forward doing what we love!

It's not related to negative feelings. It's quite the opposite, actually. I can't find energy to write 'Cards And Devices' wich contains some Nanofate, when I read them.

"We should try and spend more time together." The brunette appeared out of the blue inside his office and declared.

"Huh?!" He knew his childhood friend liked to be direct, but that was above even her standards.

"You heard me." She said, voice almost commanding. "Are you free this saturday?"

He was so dumbstruck that all he managed to do was nod.

"10 O'clock in front of the mall." And stepped out of the room. "Even if it's raining knives." She added before disappearing.

He didn't know what to think, and couldn't concentrate anymore in the research he was doing just a few moments before.

"So can you accompany me this saturday?"

"Okay. After from droping and picking up my daughter at school, I don't have anything else planned for this weekend." She lied. In fact, she wanted to review the reports from the others instructors about their trainees but, in that moment, her friend was on the other side of the table pushing her, and sending signs that clearly mean 'If you don't go I'll pluck off your eyes and shove them back through your nose.'

"Really? Awesome. I'll see you at 10:30 in front of the mall then, okay?"

"Okay." She nodded

After the call ended she turned to her friend again. "Did you think I was gonna turn him down?"

"Oh, yes, you were." She said matter-of-factly. "I know you far too long to recognize your manneirisms."

She pouted and turned back to her monitor, working on the reports.

"Oh, and don't worry. I'll pick your daughter at school on saturday."

"Why?"

"Isn't it obvious? So you can take your time." She grinned. "Don't worry about her. I'm the cool aunt, remember?"

"Fine." The ponytailed one sighed. "But make sure she doesn't eat too much crap."

"She won't."

"I'll make sure of that. Don't worry." The little silver haired device assured, floating to her master's shoulder.

"Bye-bye." She waved and left the office, as the other tried to concentrate again in her normal tasks.

A few moments later the short brown haired girl got to her own office. She closed the blinds and dialed another friend. "So, how were things on your end?"

The brunette appeared in the monitor. "Perfect." She giggled. "He was so dumbstruck that he didn't even voiced a response and just nodded. And on your side?"

"Hehehe." She made a peace sign. "Your little boy have great acting skills."

"Really?"

"Yes." She beamed. "I have a question for you, tough."

"What?"

"How long are you going to keep your spell active?" She signaled to the other.

"Huh?" The other looked at herself. "Ah... I forgot." She looked around to see if no else was seeing her and concentrated a little. The image in the monitor changed from a brunette to a blonde redeyed woman. "Thank god no one else saw."

On the other side of the screen her friend giggled.

Saturday came much too quickly to his liking. He simply didn't know how the rest of the week went by him so fast, and now he was sitting in the outside area of a cake shop, right in front of the place where they should be meeting. The blonde haired man had past the most of his previous evening and part of the morning trying to find a set of clothes that would match the mood for this little date, but since he couldn't pinpont what he was suppose to be feeling about this whole ordeal so he settled with a simple blue jeans, white shirt and a black jacket. He looked at his watch and it was already time. He got up from his seat and started looking around.

About fifteen minutes later he was starting to feel uneasy. Maybe this was just a prank pulled on him, or maybe something happened with her, or maybe he got the time wrong, or maybe... "Hi." He almost jumped when he heard her voice behind him.

"Oh... H-Hi." He manage to stammer in response. He didn't know if he should be glad or relieved with how she was dressing, since she too appeared to not go over the top in that area, wearing a simple blueish one piece dress that gone a little below the knees and her shoulder addorned with a half waist lenght mini-jacket. She was stunning all the same, but the simple way she was dressing took part of the uneasiness off his shoulder.

"Sorry to make you wait." She said, being polite, despite knowing that she was about ten minutes early.

"No, I just got here myself..." He trailled off when noticed how cliché the conversation had become. She too noticed and both of them started to giggle. After a few more awkward moments and giggles between them he steadied himself. "So, do you have someplace in mind?"

"I would like to pass by the gift shop to get something, but other than that, nothing."

"We can do that now then."

"Okay." She smiled.

After they had passed through the gift shop, they went strolling around the various shops, window shopping at most. At lunch they both decided that it would be better to just get something light and eat out in the park nearby. They were sitting side by side on a shade of a tree.

"I'm telling you. Everything is in your mind."

"I don't believe it." She playfully showed her tongue to him.

"It's like this. You know that some people are resistant against hypnosis, right? Even the better mesmerist wouldn't be able to take control of that person."

"Yeah. People with a lot of willpower don't fall for it."

"Exactly. But in a book I was reading about a ancient culture, they suggested that even a normal person can be a hypnotist. As I said, everything is on your mind. If you believe strongly that you won't be hypnotized, you won't, but you'll fall in different kind of hypnosis. It's like a subliminar message." He got a hummed reponse and continued. "The author suggested that politicians and other charismatic people manage to use this type of hypnosis without realizing."

"It's a bit eerie to think like that, don't you think?"

"Yes. Thinking about it calmly it can really be. I mean, your commands to your students during practices and mock battles could very well be this type of command, don't you think?"

She looked at him for a moment rolling the question in her head.

"O-Of course," He stammered, realizing that his remark could upset her. "I'm not saying that you are like that. And, as I said, even if you are, you wouldn't be aware of it."

She stayed silent seemingly trying to grasp better his story. "So you're saying that I'm a hypnotizer, then?"

"NO!" He almost shouted, getting up. After a few moments he realized that his voice was too loud, "No. It's not that."

"I... need to go to the toilet." She said, grimmacing. "I'll be right back." And stomped away from him.

"Okay." He manage to say weakly before she ran out of his sight. Now he's done it.

A few minutes later, he was already thinking that maybe she had ditched him for good, when a window flashed at his side with a waiting call. He pressed the translucent button and answered.

"So, how is your date going?" The brown haired woman, another childhood friend of his, appeared in the screen, grinning.

"Not so well, as you can see."

"What happened?"

"I was so engrossed talking about a book I was reading, related to a research, that I may have said some rude things to her."

"You 'may' have?"

"Yeah."

"What exactly did you tell her?"

"I was ranting about an ancient book that talked about how people who where charismatic enough to guide others could be considered one type of hypnosis, and kinda linked it to her and her classes and students. After that she got up and said she was going to the toilet. But since has been so long, I think she just left me here. I don't blame her though."

"Oh, boy. You really screwed up big time."

"I know. That's why I'm feeling so down. But I didn't even got a chance to explain that nowadays this wasn't considered valid anymore, seeing that hypnosis require a lot of factors, such as voice intonation, enviroment, and so on. It was interesting when read as a fiction work."

"I see."

"But..." He chuckled as he remenbered. "I think if it was true, I would be the first person that she mesmerized. Even after all this time I can't seem to stop thinking about her."

She widened her eyes. "Well, that's it for now. I'll call you later. Bye." And she finished the call.

He was left wondering why did she finished the conversation so abruptly before he heard a whisper in his ear. "Me too" When he made mention to turn around he heard her voice again. "Don't turn around now. I don't want you to look at me right now."

"O-Okay."

She put her hand on his shoulders. "You said that I mesmerized you, right?"

He got stiff. She had probably heard him talking to the other woman, so he had no other option aside from nod. "But.." He tried to turn again, but her hands didn't let him.

"Then you are the same." She hugged him from behind, letting her lips brush against his ear. "You did the same with me."

Part I: And So It Begins

A soft, gentle breeze brushed swiftly against a young sleeping girl, strands of brunette-colored hair floating in the air momentarily before coming back down to rest upon their owner. The wind lightly tickled the girl's sensitive ear and she frowned, mumbling incoherent words as she shifted to get comfortable again. Golden rays of light were the next of nature's trespassers, creeping inside the room and stopping mid-way as they took over sections of tatami the darkness had claimed not too long ago. Minutes passed by, and the semi-dark room was slowly splashed with morning hues, brilliant orange and golden beams finally making it's way to the occupant of the room. The rays made one final attempt to rouse the young sleeper to the tune of morning bird songs, their chirps getting louder as they flew outside the shōji doors.

A rustle of sheets accompanied the birdsongs, and very slowly, slate-blue eyes opened hesitantly, blinking several times to shake off the feeling of drowsiness. Squinting so that the natural light would not affect her vision, she sat up and stretched, a content yawn escaping her rosy lips. Satisfied with her morning ritual, she looked around, but stopped when her eyes landed on boxes that were occupying the corner. Resting on top of them, lay a white bear holding a bouquet of flowers, and with it, a creme-colored envelope.

The young girl slowly rose to her feet, hesitantly making her way towards the bear, her mind already knowing what it contains. She stared at it for a moment, then plucked the envelope from the grasp of the flowers and, without even bothering to see who it was from, she ripped open the envelope and took out the letter, giving it a quick violent shake to full open it up. Having read it a few times, she crumpled it and threw it in the waste bin. She grabbed the bear and flowers, preparing to do the same to it when she stopped, the two items hovering over her head. As red petals floated lazily towards the floor, her gaze flitted between the gift and the bin, debating on whether to follow through with the course of action. A full minute would pass before she eventually decided against it, and placed the bear and the bouquet of flowers back where she found them, wiping away a few tears that finally trailed down her cheeks.

Not wanting to stay in the room any longer, she grabbed the set of clothes she had picked out the day before and left hastily. She opened a fusuma and followed a long corridor to the end to enter the bathroom, sliding the door closed and changing into her favorite white sunday dress, twirling around in front of the mirror to see how she looked. With equal meticulous attention to detail, she proceeded to brush her hair, and then her teeth, taking great pains to make herself as proper as possible.

Satisfied with how she looked, the young girl jogged back to her room and opened the backpack that was sitting on top of her desk, removing a pen and leather-bound book, then slipped on her sandals and opened the doors to the outside world. She ran off towards the small pond surrounded by cherry blossom trees, taking delight in how a light breeze blew through the vast garden and scattered pink petals around her in a frenzy. Content for the moment, she chose a tree that was close to the pond and flopped down, opening her book to the first of the many blank pages. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath, holding it for a moment, then released it to calm her nerves.

Then she slowly opened her eyes and began to write:

April 12th 1990

How to start this? Well, I guess I can start with my name and age...yeah, that would work. My name is Takamachi Momoko and I'm nineteen years old. Just recently, I got accepted into a prestigious culinary school in France, which would explain why all those boxes are in my room.

Momoko paused, biting the bottom of her lip before continuing, ignoring the strands if loose hair tickling her face.

The reason for this journal? My dear grandmother is the one who is paying for my education down in France and well...she can be quite strict. I guess you can say we don't see eye-to-eye ever since mom died.

Trying to hold back tears, she sighed and put pen to page once more.

I have to fill this journal up and send it back to her in Japan so that she won't cut my flow of money. When you think about it, that doesn't make any sense. How will reading a journal tell her that I'm studying and not partying? If she wanted, she could stop sending me money for no reason at all, since she has done it before. But I better keep my mouth shut; you don't bite the hand that feeds you..

She shifted slightly to get more comfortable and continued writing.

It wasn't easy to convince her that I wanted to be a chef, but miraculously, I managed to do just that but with a condition and you already know what that is. Of course, I'm not going to let her see this entry! She would murder me, but I need to get this feeling in my chest out because if I don't, I'm going to scream.

Today is the day that I will be leaving for France and I'm really nervous. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not regretting my decision. But you have to admit that leaving a country that has been your home for nineteen years and going to another for three years is nerve-wracking to say the least!

“Momoko-chan!" came the call from a scruffy looking man with a rope tied around his forehead. "Are you ready!? Is everything packed!?”

“Yeah, everything is ready; all that needs to be done is to move the boxes into the truck!” she yelled back amidst the chirping of the birds that were resting not far from her.

The man nodded, then whistled for his partners to help him move the stuff out of her room. Smiling sadly at her belongings being taking out of her childhood home, she went back to her journal, trying to shake off the feeling that had begun to intensify inside of her.

My grandmother's friends just came and are now putting my stuff inside the truck. I don't know about you, but seeing an empty room where you grew up is just...sad. Yeah, as simple as that sounds, it is sad. It feels as though you have no place to run to, no place to hide, no place...to be safe. But then again, I lived in that house mostly by myself and only a handful of people were ever allowed to enter.

“It's all done, Momoko-chan!” the same male voice called across the yard again.

Momoko stopped abruptly and looked up, then sighed and yelled, “I'll be there in a sec!”

“We'll be in the front of the house; don't be long, if not, we'll miss your flight!” he informed her, and then left.

When the men disappeared from view, Momoko resumed with her writing, much more hurriedly.

I never had a choice in life. Grandmother allowing me to be a chef and to study abroad was a miracle in itself. I would do anything she asks of me and the only thing I ever wanted in return is a smile or “good job” but it never happened.

Ever.

She giggled.

“Coming!”

When she finished writing the last of her thoughts, she closed the journal and stood up, grabbing her flowing hair when a soft breeze blew through the elegant garden, scattering cherry blossom petals and birds around her.

She took a deep breath and looked up at the cloudless sky, a smile escaping her lips.

Who knows? Maybe my Prince Charming will be there, ready to sweep me from my feet...

Part I: And So It Begins

A soft, gentle breeze brushed swiftly against a young sleeping girl, strands of brunette-colored hair floating in the air momentarily before coming back down to rest upon their owner. The wind lightly tickled the girl's sensitive ear and she frowned, mumbling incoherent words as she shifted to get comfortable again. Golden rays of light were the next of nature's trespassers, creeping inside the room and stopping mid-way as they took over sections of tatami the darkness had claimed not too long ago. Minutes passed by, and the semi-dark room was slowly splashed with morning hues, brilliant orange and golden beams finally making it's way to the occupant of the room. The rays made one final attempt to rouse the young sleeper to the tune of morning bird songs, their chirps getting louder as they flew outside the shōji doors.

A rustle of sheets accompanied the birdsongs, and very slowly, slate-blue eyes opened hesitantly, blinking several times to shake off the feeling of drowsiness. Squinting so that the natural light would not affect her vision, she sat up and stretched, a content yawn escaping her rosy lips. Satisfied with her morning ritual, she looked around, but stopped when her eyes landed on boxes that were occupying the corner. Resting on top of them, lay a white bear holding a bouquet of flowers, and with it, a creme-colored envelope.

The young girl slowly rose to her feet, hesitantly making her way towards the bear, her mind already knowing what it contains. She stared at it for a moment, then plucked the envelope from the grasp of the flowers and, without even bothering to see who it was from, she ripped open the envelope and took out the letter, giving it a quick violent shake to full open it up. Having read it a few times, she crumpled it and threw it in the waste bin. She grabbed the bear and flowers, preparing to do the same to it when she stopped, the two items hovering over her head. As red petals floated lazily towards the floor, her gaze flitted between the gift and the bin, debating on whether to follow through with the course of action. A full minute would pass before she eventually decided against it, and placed the bear and the bouquet of flowers back where she found them, wiping away a few tears that finally trailed down her cheeks.

Not wanting to stay in the room any longer, she grabbed the set of clothes she had picked out the day before and left hastily. She opened a fusuma and followed a long corridor to the end to enter the bathroom, sliding the door closed and changing into her favorite white sunday dress, twirling around in front of the mirror to see how she looked. With equal meticulous attention to detail, she proceeded to brush her hair, and then her teeth, taking great pains to make herself as proper as possible.

Satisfied with how she looked, the young girl jogged back to her room and opened the backpack that was sitting on top of her desk, removing a pen and leather-bound book, then slipped on her sandals and opened the doors to the outside world. She ran off towards the small pond surrounded by cherry blossom trees, taking delight in how a light breeze blew through the vast garden and scattered pink petals around her in a frenzy. Content for the moment, she chose a tree that was close to the pond and flopped down, opening her book to the first of the many blank pages. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath, holding it for a moment, then released it to calm her nerves.

Then she slowly opened her eyes and began to write:

April 12th 1990

How to start this? Well, I guess I can start with my name and age...yeah, that would work. My name is Takamachi Momoko and I'm nineteen years old. Just recently, I got accepted into a prestigious culinary school in France, which would explain why all those boxes are in my room.

Momoko paused, biting the bottom of her lip before continuing, ignoring the strands if loose hair tickling her face.

The reason for this journal? My dear grandmother is the one who is paying for my education down in France and well...she can be quite strict. I guess you can say we don't see eye-to-eye ever since mom died.

Trying to hold back tears, she sighed and put pen to page once more.

I have to fill this journal up and send it back to her in Japan so that she won't cut my flow of money. When you think about it, that doesn't make any sense. How will reading a journal tell her that I'm studying and not partying? If she wanted, she could stop sending me money for no reason at all, since she has done it before. But I better keep my mouth shut; you don't bite the hand that feeds you..

She shifted slightly to get more comfortable and continued writing.

It wasn't easy to convince her that I wanted to be a chef, but miraculously, I managed to do just that but with a condition and you already know what that is. Of course, I'm not going to let her see this entry! She would murder me, but I need to get this feeling in my chest out because if I don't, I'm going to scream.

Today is the day that I will be leaving for France and I'm really nervous. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not regretting my decision. But you have to admit that leaving a country that has been your home for nineteen years and going to another for three years is nerve-wracking to say the least!

“Momoko-chan!" came the call from a scruffy looking man with a rope tied around his forehead. "Are you ready!? Is everything packed!?”

“Yeah, everything is ready; all that needs to be done is to move the boxes into the truck!” she yelled back amidst the chirping of the birds that were resting not far from her.

The man nodded, then whistled for his partners to help him move the stuff out of her room. Smiling sadly at her belongings being taking out of her childhood home, she went back to her journal, trying to shake off the feeling that had begun to intensify inside of her.

My grandmother's friends just came and are now putting my stuff inside the truck. I don't know about you, but seeing an empty room where you grew up is just...sad. Yeah, as simple as that sounds, it is sad. It feels as though you have no place to run to, no place to hide, no place...to be safe. But then again, I lived in that house mostly by myself and only a handful of people were ever allowed to enter.

“It's all done, Momoko-chan!” the same male voice called across the yard again.

Momoko stopped abruptly and looked up, then sighed and yelled, “I'll be there in a sec!”

“We'll be in the front of the house; don't be long, if not, we'll miss your flight!” he informed her, and then left.

When the men disappeared from view, Momoko resumed with her writing, much more hurriedly.

I never had a choice in life. Grandmother allowing me to be a chef and to study abroad was a miracle in itself. I would do anything she asks of me and the only thing I ever wanted in return is a smile or “good job” but it never happened.

Ever.
