Yo, new auto-include legendary. Replaces your hero powers with better ones.
The effect is permanent. Only replaces base hero powers, stuff like Jaraxxus and Shadowform get nothing. Shamans can have duplicate basic totems with this. |

I'm not convinced it's an auto-include. Yet.
We're in a high-temp meta at present. Inspire mechanics and utilising Hero Powers is slow overall. Maiden of the Lake, Coldarra Drake and Saraad - cards that utilise the Hero Power to benefit - are slow. I don't see how they would stop aggro decks that are the mainstay on the higher ends of ranked and competitive play. The new legendary looks cool/fun, but at 3 health, it doesn't look like it would stick around long. For 6 mana, not convinced the effect is justification for playing it and likely seeing it fall immediately. Lock and Load, Totem Golem and Tuskarr Totemic are the three cards I'm most convinced by. Reynad voices his concerns about the new set here. He makes very valid points. Unless there's cards across the set that also help Hero Powers but are higher tempo than those revealed thus far, Inspire could fall to the wayside because it's too slow.

I think the Justicar card is too slow to be included in every deck, I think it will be limited to control decks (Priest for example) and maybe some mid range decks (Paladin, for the quartermaster synergy)
Sounds about right although I'm not totally convinced by Totem Golem because it's really similar to Fireguard Destroyer and that card doesn't see any play in constructed.

Had an intense brawl with a friend (me/warrior vs him/priest). At the start of fatiguing, he had Feugen (Stalagg already died), Ragnaros, and another high attack minion. My side of the field I had Sludge, Feugen, and a Whelp. His turn first, he summons loatheb, and attacks Sludge with Feugen. End of his turn, Ragnaros hits my Whelp. My turn, I hit his Feugen with mine, Thaddius is on his field. I summon Deathwing for game (and add Thaddius to my field). The whole match was seriously epic/fun.

I think it's pretty funny. Had the most hilarious win thanks to it.
>Opponent plays portal into >>>Fel Reaver turn 4 >I freeze all and play a minion (turn 5) >He plays 2 portals, no minion >I play portal+portal+portal+minion+minion(taunt)+minion >He has no more cards in deck .______. |

This Grand Tournament set reveal so far has been very...underwhelming....
Even the Twin Val'kyr double legendary reveal wasn't that inspiring. Unless Priest suddenly becomes relevant. If the intention of this set is to shake up Arena, then maybe it will add some interesting elements. If it's to shake up Constructed, I hope some of the things not seen yet are darn good, because when you can't name 5 cards yet worth playing in Constructed, it's getting grim.

At this point still haven't seen that many cards that really wow me. Think just using the gold I've hoarded up for this expansion will be fine. No real motivation to buy packs via real money this time around.

Well, finally a few cards worth getting have appeared.
Darnassus Aspirant. 2/3 for 2 with a temp Wild Growth effect? Seems to be a unified agreeance that this card will see play in Constructed. Spellslinger might become a thing for Mage. Shado-Pan Cavalry should be solid for Rogue in Arena. One thing I have reminded myself is that Goblins vs Gnomes also was looking a bit weak in the early parts of the leadup then in the 11th hour, Dr. Boom and co. appeared to prove the set's legitimacy. There probably are some top-tier cards being saved for a late reveal. I am prepared for this. I have 3.3k dust accumulated now thanks to a week of spamming Arena. Just need to make my remaining 1.2k gold bigger.

Still waiting for more interesting cards, but at least a few are starting to pop up.
What I'm surprised at is despite the name of the expansion and a potential thematic fit....Blizzard seems to have forgotten it has a Paladin class . Have revealed a fair amount of the cards in this thing and still nothing for that class.

Another double legendary vote is up. This time it's for Anub'arak and Aviana.
The race to get both revealed again is on. However, Ben Brode has hinted people will really want to have Aviana revealed. Also interesting to note they're both class-specifc legendaries. Aviana is Druid's new legendary and Anub'arak is Rogue's new one. You make a good point, Flareknight. Makes me wonder - they're doing it on purpose? Something in those Paladin-only cards might be a real gamechanger if they're being this hush-hush about it. Considering Aggro Paladin becoming one of the more favored ways to climb on ranked, maybe they have something strong lined up for it. Update - shortly after this post was done, Trump said the race to reveal both legendaries has already reached 80%. So in two days, should know what the deal with Anub'arak and Aviana is.
