It's a very simple equation when it comes to KT.

0. Create a strong female character contradictory to the shounen female archetype before quickly reducing to a helpless and useless motivation for the single minded hero to rescue.

From reading the spoilers, I am sort of mixed on this chapter. For one, one of the coolest characters that was introduced into this manga is appearently gone. You also have another backstabbing from the main boss to one of his underlings, to which the only explaination give was that she was not worth keeping aroung anymore. I will just have to wait until the chapter shows up to read to give an accurate response on what I think of it.

mean while girls have animes with way OP female leads. and all the men have 0 to little power.

and Goku only has a few attacks, he doesnt pull out new ones like Vegeta does(their still awesome tho).

Really? Because Hitsugaya got alot of face time in this arc. And he got 2 new moves in one fight. Also Soi Fon is one of Kubo's favorite female characters, that is why he put her into the fight. And just because Hitsugaya doesn't have big impacts doesn't mean he's not there for fanservice. Its actually quite the opposite, he doesn't need to be there but Kubo puts him in scenes to bring up the ratings. You can look through this thread and the episode threads and find posts about how cute Toshiro looked.
