Lots of excellent and well-acted cosplays, some I've seen before, and some new ones as well. The ones I liked before are still as good as ever, while the Ryuko Matoi cosplayer has even improved a bit in her acting of the character (great poses).

There's no cosplay here that struck me as bad, they all seemed at least good, but the new ones that probably stood out to me the most was the Monobear one and the Sailor Scouts cosplayers. Those are some of the best cosplay outfits I've seen.

The Sailor Scouts outfits really capture how magical and whimsy Sailor Moon can be at times. The light coloration of the costumes really makes them stand out well that way.

The Monobear costume is incredible. Such a good job of dividing black and white right down the middle, even with the hair. I mean, that is really something else. The person who designed and made that costume should be doing costumes for Two-Face the next time he shows up in a Batman movie!

Oh, thanks Triple-R for the comments. Hmm, so Kaitlin's Monobear cos is a good one? For sure, I'll give her a link to your post tonight.
Though I think this should be said now.. she already sold the monobear costume. >< So this is probably the last time that we would see her wear it.

Mary Grace is the Ryuuko cosplayer. You would see her again on my next report (coming up in a few days). And she has a new costume, told me that it's time to give her senketsu a little rest.

Finished talking to monobear cosplayer Katrina (Kaitlin is her nickname). She has message for those who liked her cosplay.

And I found out tonight that she sew that monobear dress. Said that she can just sew another one if she likes to cosplay as monobear again.

I was very impressed with the amount of originality that she put into making the costume, having the separate colors was a very nice touch, I'm curious of how she went about making it.

This is Katrina's reply to you after she saw your post. And she said that she's glad that her hard work paid off. The monobear cos is hard to sew because even the inside stitches need black and white threads. @_@

Otaku Expo Reloaded 2014 (day 2)

This convention was held last last Aug 9-10 at SM Megatrade Hall. We attended day 2. Well, so it's been almost one year already? It just feels like yesterday when we attended OE Reload 2013.

Without further delay, here are the pics:

We arrived at about 12 in the afternoon, entered from the ground floor and went up the escalator to the 5th floor.
Took some shots while walking to the convention area.

It's now late in the afternoon. Time for Battle of the Bands

The name of this band is Shiranai, and their vocalist is Haruna (also the lead vocalist of the famous girl band Scandal). Heard from someone that her birthday is on the day of this event. They performed JOINT (Shakugan no Shana season 2 opening theme). Sorry, my hands are a bit shaky when recording the vid.

And one more band, the name of this one is Wakaranai. The vocalist is our friend Djonelyn. They performed you and I (K-On insert song).

Ayreesh cosplaying as Remilia Scarlet. We were talking before the convention, and she told me that she got scammed by the seller of this costume. Many parts (particularly the wings) are in poor condition when she received it. I think she did pretty well in restoring it.
