So according to this pretty official looking announcement on Web Ace Vivid will end in the December issue of Comp Ace. There is some confusion vis a vis dates because some sources cite 26th of October but that seems to be the date the pre-orders for the December issue will start.
Apparently for now, from the February issue (which is selling from 26th of December) it will be replaced by Nanoha Reflection The Comics, which will recount a "side story".

Well that kinda depends on when is it set in...
As far as I'm concerned Vivid has pulled enough changes to the setting that I kinda consider it barely cannon, and feel you can only with great difficulty do worse than TM did with the overall story. But eh, that's me being grump on Vivid...

Don't know. If they mean to throw more in the direction of TSAB those would not feel off... too much. I guess the rest will be Vivio training and then the tournament leading to I think Vivio SOMEHOW wining over Nanoha. And if that happens.... well I will be powerless but it would be the last nail in the Vivid coffin for me.

Yeah, it's still the most recent of their Nanoha IPs and so probably has the most following. By now possibly a lot of the fans of Vivid are Vivid not Nanoha fans. Just like there are those who were brought into the fandom by Strike.

You're thinking of the Saint's Armor, which she indeed lost when Nanoha destroyed the Relic fused to her, along with the vast majority of her mana pool. Sacred Defender is Vivio's workaround for her meager mana reserves, as a way of focusing her magical power between offensive and defensive uses, which she essentially perfected when training with Nanoha to fight Einhart in the rematch after their tournament runs came to an end. Said "perfection" is that she can switch between the two uses of Sacred Defender instantly.

The problem that I have with that explanation for the Saint armor is that I don't think she needed the relic for that in StrikerS, since Quattro when tasked with retrieving her was fine with Dieci opening up with a DB level lethal strike on the transport she was on, and supposedly she would have shrugged it off. Basically she had natural defences that were part of her genetic legacy and were nod based on the relic. So I never liled that nerf. I feel you could introducing some other constraints on her, but her defense should not be weak.
Also her tanking the SLB even with the suicidal tehnique she used against Einhard is that that skill relies on stopping a blow on a point. She marshals her otherwise meager defences ALL in one spot which is the only way she can stop a strong blow. SLB is not a point attack. It's a fuckhuge beam and as such defending a single point against it should be useless, AND not to mention that if it happens at the end of the fight it's probably being launched with a staggering amount of mana that no mage can match without mana collection spell of their own, which is why defence against an SLB not fired at the start is basically useless. In my opinion of course. MT us likely to try to pull something out of his butt.
