We already knew the Arima Squad, and thus probably Arima himself, were being posted to Cochlea.

And Kaneki is very well aware of that and isn't concerned, so I doubt Arima's presence in and of itself derails whatever he's planning. Or if it does, he's confident he can handle it.

First time seeing Kaneki getting emotional like this in long a while.

I guess he really have some mixed feeling and attachment to Arima.
And... I guess he is scared of fighting him too.
I wonder is Kaneki really is going to fight him now. But all this only makes Takatsuki sensei's death flag looks higher.

It looks like Kaneki is trying to draw attention to cells 0 and 1 so Ayato can easily go to cell 2. It feels kinda unsettling seeing how bad Kaneki is shaken up and crying in the locker room though lol

We saw plenty of emotion when he first 'woke up'. And there was also that bit with Urie last chapter. More than anything, I like that we're finally starting to get pieces of where he's at mentally and what he wants now, though.

The question I'm wondering about is (and maybe it has an obvious answer that is eluding me), where does the whole him crossing off dates on a calendar thing tie into this? And Eto as well, for that matter; if he is intending to go down here, he doesn't seem to be interested in finishing her off first, so why the six month manhunt to get her?

It's worth noting that they're now a week away from his and Arima's birthdays, but somehow I doubt that matters.

It's still possible (and the most likely based on what we've got), but I was ballparking ideas that had more to do with his seeming goal of eliminating Arima, because as it stands I'm not sure what the two have to do with one another unless he was just holding off on attacking Arima so that he could kill two birds with one stone now or something.

Though it could in part be that it took until now to fully find the resolve to go through with it, too.

Who knows? If nothing else, I don't think it'll be a curb stomp in Arima's favor.

Yesterday I had to stayed up late for a homework. And it feels super refreshing to read the new chapter.

Really, all the flashback and reactions Kaneki has with Arima are simply interesting! I like Arima more now! Let's thrust through his eyes again and transform him into Haise again! XD
