I'm trying to take a break from writing and I had this god damn plot bunny I couldn't get out of my head. I had to write a snippet.

The man had made her an offer she couldn’t refuse.

They sat in her office; she, behind her desk in the leather chair she’d pondered of switching out for a long time now. He, sitting in her visitor’s chair, no less extravagant than her own. Two bodyguards by his side, a man and a woman. The one to his left was spider-like in his appearance, with long, thin limbs and small eyes. The woman was the opposite, impressive muscles showing underneath her black business suit, standing taller than anyone in the room.

“So... do you accept it or not?”

The man spoke in slow and impeccable American English, which she had no trouble replying back with. A background in a rich family, no doubt. She judged a possible Spanish heritage. Either or, she wouldn’t be able to fool him. He’d see through it and punish her for it. As soon as he had entered the room, she knew she wouldn’t be able to cross him in a direct conflict.

Sweat trailed down her back. Her muscles tensed up.

“How long do I have to consider it?”

The man sighed and leaned forward. “Look. This is a time-limited offer, one-time only. If you accept, you will see us no more. I cannot see how it is disadvantageous to you.”

“It’s a hefty price you’re asking for. It will take some time to transfer the money.” And that’s just counting the transfer itself... the paperwork will be immense.

“I am a patient man, little missy. I will wait, but haste is of importance still.”

“I understand that, Coyote. This is the business world after all.”

Coyote raised an eyebrow. “So you do understand how this world works. I might have underestimated you.”

She chuckled. “I get that a lot.”

“At any rate...” He stood up. His female bodyguard handed him his jacket. “Once I walk out of this door, the offer is gone. You do not want to know what will happen after that.”

Thoughts stormed in her head. What would she do? What could she do? It was theoretically possible, but the losses for the company would be immense. Call the police? Coyote probably had moles planted everywhere. If she’d try anything, she had to do it in extreme secrecy.

But right now she didn’t have the time to think or to draw plans.

“I accept.”

Coyote stopped at the door, turned around and smiled. “Good. I am very glad to hear that. We will be in touch, soon.”

Coyote and his two bodyguards left. When they’d closed the door behind them, the CEO of Bannings Corporation Inc. Alisa Bannings, aged thirty-two, stood up from her chair and tried to calm her shaking hands. She’d thought herself of tougher material than this, but she’d never had to deal with anyone like Coyote before. This was some serious business her company had become involved in... and it was all because of her. She’d grown lazy and wanted a shortcut. Coyote had been that shortcut, but that was before she knew who he really was. Now she couldn’t stop reminding herself what an idiot she’d been.

She threw open her drawer and retrieved a package of cigarettes. It had been, what, two months since the last time? She’d thought herself capable of resisting it longer. But this was a special occasion. Just this once, to calm her nerves. She flicked her lighter on and inhaled. Her eyelids fluttered at the calming sensation and she twirled her long hair with a finger. Yes, that hit the spot. Oh, yes, now she could think...

Think about what? She knew what she had to do and that was to prepare the transfer. Papers had to be sorted. The right people contacted. Absolutely no one could know why. She’d have to lie to get her way, but the alternative was far worse.

Unless...

She retrieved her cell from her pocket and clicked down the list of numbers. There were two people she could contact. Two people that could create the chance she needed. Two people she trusted with her life.

Only they weren’t exactly human, lived in another dimension and she hadn’t talked to them for over six years.

Call them or not. The choice was obvious.

Alisa Bannings clicked the Call button. The calling tone filled her ear. When it connected to Nanoha Takamachi, she drew a sigh of relief. She could begin planning.

If you want to keep the colors, Fate's a Banshee (the Kshatriya doesn't fit her at all), even if she'll always be a deathscythe in my heart.

Mhm Deathscythe indeed ^^ Personality wise it would fit Levi more if you ask me... Fate is like the gentlest Shinigami in all existence, even Discworld's Death stands no chance.

Vita glanced at the small girl who laid motionless on the bed before them.
"I... think she is unconscious."
She told the other knights who looked at each other in confusion, that wasn't exactly how those things went. They usually swore their fealty to the new Master and almost immediately began to hunt for linker cores.
"Maybe I should take a look..."
Shamal spoke up and moved forward to look at their new Master but was stopped when the door to the room opened slightly and a brunette woman peeked in.
"Hayate-chan, are you okay? I heard some... strange... sound..."
The woman grew silent as her eyes met those of Wolkenritter. They stared at each other for several moments and then the woman closed the door behind her. Confused knights glanced at each other, not sure what to do in this situation when they were interrupted again.
With a bellow befitting a nordic Berserker the brunette kicked in the door and charged in holding a large fire extinguisher in her hand.
She closed the distance between the door and the knights in an instant, her speed surprising even Signum. With a single smooth swing she delivered a crushing blow to the pink haired knight's chin. The flaming general fell back like a chopped down tree and smashed to the floor. The woman did not stop though, she spun and delivered another crushing blow to Zafira who put up a guard but she easily broke through it and knocked him out as well.
The only one left standing was Shamal who starred in horror at the insane woman. The brunette's features were deformed with rage, her slender arms easily managing the heavy weapon she brought with herself.
"Wait we are not..."
The knight of the lake tried to explain but was instantly silenced.

"HANDS OFF OF HAYATE-CHAN YOU MONSTERS!!"
She bellow and attacked, the blond tried to block the attack but a flurry of strikes nearly broke her arms which she rose to block. With one final overhead strike the brunette smashed the fire extinguisher into the top of blond's head, knocking her out too.
Vita stared at the whole scene in wide-eyed horror, they weren't even given time to summon their weapons and all but one of them was down. The petite knight shivered when the insane berserker woman turned her eyes to her and began her approach. Vita raised her arms to defend herself, her eyes closing.
But the strike did not come, instead she heard the fire extinguisher hit the floor and the next thing she knew was warmth and softness.
She opened her eyes and saw the woman. She knelt in front of the tiny knight and hugged her comfortingly.
"It's all right now, the bad people won't hurt you anymore. Sakura-nee-chan saw to that."

She told the small knight who just stared at her in confusion. Just what kind of insane world were they summoned to this time?


Yes it IS Sakura, but a Nano Sakura rather than Nasu Sakura. She is usually a kind, gentle and loving person who wouldn't hurt a fly. However she works as a social worker and just can't stand children being hurt or abused. Furthermore she found Wolkies surrounding apparently unconcious/dead Hayate... bad situation for you Wolkies, bad situation.

Nothing. It'd be set on Earth with Nanoha trying to help Alisa, but she can't due to TSAB not having any authority on Earth. Cue legal and corporate shenanigans and someone being pushed towards the edge of desperation.

I disagree: having he whole misunderstanding of the TSAB and the Materials going too far with the only person who can be a bridge as negotiator being transported off-planet and sedated. And then we have the remains of a mild mind control spell to be detected (just think on the Aces' reaction) and even when the Materials want to redeem themselves they have their devices who control them and make them forget.

At this point it isn't fun anymore, and it doesn't look it's going to get better soon.

(Note: I want this story to continue to get again to fun and funny parts)

The only thing that bothers me was Arisa calling Nanoha. Why didn't she call Fate? Being an investigator of sorts she might be a better choice for being calling (and it isn't like they are going to hide things to rach other (Fate to Nanoha and viceversa)

Material D really shouldn't have kept putting it off telling him in the first place. Yuuno would have been reasonable, if stressed out, but now there will be unnecessary complications.
