So I guess my favorite director Shin Oonuma has found somewhat of a successor in Masato Jinbo now. I'm looking forward to this anime.

I think it has less to do with Shin Oonuma than with Silver Link broadening their horizons.

Their production power comes by way of former J.C. Staff coordinators who joined in 2011. Much Like Shinya Kawamo, Jinbo started working with Silver Link shortly after, and his role quickly changed from frequent Episode Director (i.e. among other shows, he worked on several episodes of Shana, including the entire Shana S OVA) to series director. It's unlikely that he was ever hand picked by Oonuma since he immediately started on Prisma Illya after finishing up at J.C.

Jinbo worked on several Silver Link anime, mostly as director for single episodes (including for Dusk maiden of Amnesia, Watamote and Prisma Illya which Oonuma directed), but his first opportunity to direct a full TV anime was Prisma Illya 2wei, where he was promoted to Director and Oonuma became "Chief Director". That's similar to how Shinbo was credited as Chief Director for Ef which Oonuma directed at Shaft.
Kawamo is a similar case, of course, since Oonuma also was Chief Director for Kokoro Connect, the first TV anime Kawamo directed for Silver Link.

They were likely shuttled in by Jiro Nakagawa to direct anime at Silver Link (making their positions essentially predetermined), even if the first assignments were technically under Oonuma. That's the point I'm trying to make.

Kawamo already directed the Otoboku 2 OVA on his own, so Silver Link was never going to remain a Shin Oonuma-centered company in the long run.

Of course, it was never intended to be anyway. Their first independent projects were Tayutama, directed by Keitaro Motonaga, and a 6 minute video for Rokujouma no Shinryakusha, directed by Nabeshin.
What really got them going was Bakatest, so Oonuma had a lot of credit from that one and dominated Silver Link anime for a while.
But everything that came after Bakatest (except Prisma Illya) had terrible sales, so it's no wonder that other directors are getting their shot now.

I like it when people from inside the company get promoted to director slowly, with guidance from an experienced veteran. I think that will produce better results than what was done with Girlfriend Beta, where an animator got the job who only directed a 3 minute anime before and never worked at Silver Link - the result of that one was not surprising.

This is one of those series that is comedic but other then that it brings very little to the game. I cant say its gonna be bad but u kinda wonder how good it will be.

I dunno, I think the way that all of the ojou-sama characters get swept up in fascination at 'commoner's activities' is the real highlight of the show, and where it distinguishes itself from other comedies. Usually, only one character fits this bill, but for pretty much the whole main cast sans the male MC to do so is pretty unique.

It'll likely premiere this summer considering the fact it released a new key visual as well a PV. Now if only they would do the same thing for Kotetsujo no Cabaneli given the fact I was disappointed when it doesn't get one yesterday.
