I highly doubt the geezer is dead, there's gotta be some reason the video game kid separated them into "chat rooms", I'm sure they all have a bunch of lives or something.

Favorite moment of the chapter? Ikkaku calling Hitsugaya "Sir". Looks like our little captain has become quite the hardass, to cow Ikkaku so... ^_^

Yep, if we'd thought about it beforehand, it would have still been obvious who would be facing off against each Fullbringer even before the Shinigami showed up:

Kenpachi vs Giriko: Old and gaunt
'Shiro vs Yukio: White-haired shota (this was so obvious we did figure it out)
Byakuya vs Tsukishima: Bishonen
Ikkaku vs Shishigawara: Delinquents
Renji vs Jackie: Fashion deviants
Rukia vs Riruka: Hot for Ichigo (and we get the sympathetic opponent against the one Shinigami who might actually spare her)
Ichigo vs Ginjou: duh...

Giriko isn't dead. Calling it now. Finishing a fight in a single page isn't Kubo's style, and a character with "mastery over time" is just asking for a cliff hanger that he can come back from after seemingly dying. Kenpachi's fight will continue.

It's basically all the characters posing and trying to look and sound cool whilst the inevitable and predictable happens.

Have to agree with your matchups. Renji needs opponents who will toe to toe with him, and rukia/riruka was set up the moment we heard her name. As for Kenpachi's opponent, I definitely believe he is gonna time reverse and do what all the kings horses and all the kings men couldn't.

I liked how he called it chatrooms. And Ishida is fine. Orihime will fix him by the end of the arc, or his wound will no longer be as serious as we are made to believe and he will get off an awesome shot saving Ichigo at some point.

yup, came to post this....see it was already done. sure it look great how he finished him in one blow...but once you bring in....master of time.....

he will rebuild, and if not, the chat room will pull out a video game save file and rebuild him. Going to have to destroy the rooms to defeat the fullbringers.

Fucking boring, indeed. I can't believe Kubo pulled the "I defeated you in one blow - NO YOU DIDN'T, that was an illusion/other random bullshit" twice in the same chapter. It's so painfully obvious the old man isn't dead.

Hitsugaya is going to fight a kid who can use illusions, huh? Aww, a shame Hinamori didn't come with the rest of them.

Also, Kenpachi's eyepatch seems to have undergone a redesign, without the straps holding it on going up his face, instead having one thick bit going around the side (see last page) - is this so that he can actually put it back on again, rectifying that major design flaw (which I doubt Kurotsuchi would have allowed)?

These fights seem so ... Mismatched. These people are all human, meaning the damage their bodies takes is for "real", and yet, we're alsl supposed to believe they are on par with Captain Level Shinigami? Just seems unfitting. Maybe I'm just underestimating them though.
