Also, totally unrelated....so I understand these kits don't need to be painted, but it's recommended if you want nice details and all. So what can I do with a kit just short of going all out with an airbrush? I don't own an airbrush or know how to use one. Anyway, I know there are the gundam pens for panel lines and gundam markers....anything else I need to know about?

Oh and can anyone recommend a good gold paint? I have a Strike Freedom model kit and while the gold on the wing parts is shiny and nice, the gold parts on the body are more on the dull side. I'd like to hand paint those parts to make them better looking.

Sorry for all the N00b questions, I'm rather new to putting together these kits.
yea, they mod gundams (extremely well i might add). here is a link to a Infinite Justice model that they made into a MG level. http://f7.aaa.livedoor.jp/~mesarion/.../jusm/jusm.htm.
i apologize ahead of time if someone has already posted this URL.

Awesome. And they painted it red too. If I bought an I-J kit I'd paint it red too. I don't like the sort of pinky-purple color of the kits.

are the fingers on the MG Strike Freedom Gundam Full Burst Mode individually jointed? if not, are there any kits of Strike Freedom with individaul jointed fingers?

Well, they fingers on the MG SF is not exactly individually jointed but...it IS individually BALL JOINTED so, all you have to do is cut the small little piece that links them all. There, individual fingers!

Well, all i'm trying to say is that you CAN cut the 3 last fingers with a sharp knife to separate them. then you get this!
Spoiler for Separated fingers:

Well done. I always liked SD Gundams but never bothered to buy any (partly because they don't come fully colored .. now that my painting skills are a bit better, I may give it a try).

Thank you, theres definitely less moulded colours with sd kits. What bothered me about the destiny sd is that black & gray parts arent even moulded. Forearms were half blue & the beam sword moulded in dark blue, even the original seed sd kits had more moulded colours.
