Don't let me know about stuff. I've looked through the mountain of responses here. Here's what I know about the volume from here and its illustrations:

Natsumi doesn't really look like the one in the cover. I knew it! Shapeshifters do have a tendency to look something they are not, in fact, they want to look, uhhh, what's the word, presentable, or just want to appeal to people. This revelation crushed the hopes and dreams of all her fans, apparently, which means her fanbase is in decline.
Aaaaand... She went berserk because of that! Twice! So during her first run of anger (because Shidou saw her naked or something) she assumed his form and molested the spirits, but Tohka and Origami saw through it. Typical.
Then the detective ploy begins, and Shidou does a collective date with the spirits. He accuses Miku of being Natsumi. I think he's wrong, as you can see from her tears. I can also see twin rivalry at the works again, in a more serious turn.
As for her second run of rage, she unleashes her powers, and turns the cast into 9 year olds. It turned out that a theory about Natsumi's powers hit spot on! It's not limited to herself, but to other people and objects, too! As for the cast turning into children, I can see heart attacks running here and there this Christmas or New Year.
Wait a minute... Natsumi changed into Yoshinon? But Yoshinon isn't one of the 12 suspects...

Ah. So it's Yoshino's turn to go Inverse form?
But... page 145 (chapter 3) seems quite early to make the accusation. I was thinking like if that accusation was made nearer the end of the volume then it'll seem more legit.
Which page did he accuse Miku of being Natsumi in disguise? Is it before or after page 145? I've got a feeling it's after page 145, in chapter 4 (Suspect Designation, pages 165-247) at the earliest.
Actually, just take the final conclusion he comes to. Which means having to read the whole thing...

The Spirits' stat charts that were posted a few pages back implies that Kotori, Yoshino and Kurumi would imply they'd be doing pretty well if they were in school (bar Kotori, who's in the middle-school side). Imagine a cram session between the Spirits; would be a really amusing scene.
For statisticians, here are the totals:
Tohka: 731
Tohka (Inverse): 802
Yoshino: 740
Kurumi: 713
Kotori: 773
Kaguya/Yuzuru: Different distributions, but total is 808 for both
Miku: 453
Stat point totals probably won't affect the overall threat level of the Spirits, otherwise Yoshino would be more of a threat than Tohka or Kurumi based on this alone... I also believe a few members here mentioned that Miku has abysmally low attributes - the total makes it painfully obvious, a whopping 260 behind Kurumi. What's surprising is that the Yamai twins have the highest totals, but that could be because they have all-round amazing distributions (bar INT, but Yuzuru fared pretty decent, with 84). The most rounded Spirit would be Kotori, who has everything at least 100.
Aside from the stats, their threat levels are due in part to the extent of their abilities and apparent destructive levels.
Yoshino is more of a threat then Tohka if she actually fights. The AST couldn't even engage her when she went berserk and summoned bunnyzilla. Remember her Whole deal is she doesn't want to hurt anyone

Thanks to a site that archives 4chan threads I found the summaries of vol 8 chapters that were posted in 4chan. Here are the summaries for chapter 1-3:
Spoiler for Vol 8 Ch 1:
Chapter 1
- Kotori calls Miku for questioning in Fraxinas. Miku asked Shidou to come along.
- Miku show her Shidou-love in front of Kotori while questioning.
- Kotori asked Miku about the person who made her a spirit. Not much new information beyond it was Phantom.
- Kotori asked Miku whether she feel like her feel the urge of destroying sometimes, just like Kotori was.
- Miku answers no. Kotori guess it's either compatibility or turning Kotori to spirit give Phantom a hint how to do it.
- Miku and Shidou transported back to in front of Shidou's house.
- Miku ask Shidou for a Goodbye Kiss. Tohka/Yoshino/Kaguya/Yuzuru come out of the mansion and discovered.
- Yoshino recently moved into the spirit mansion.
- Tohka and others try to stop Miku. Miku suggest that if kiss Shidou, then Miku kiss Tohka would equal to Shidou kiss Tohka.
- After some talk, Miku instead suggest she kiss Tohka first, then she will kiss Shidou.
- Tohka and all other spirits flee Miku out of fear.
- Back at Fraxinas, Kotori is organizing transcript from Miku's questioning in her room.
- Mana come into Kotori's room without her realizing and place a canned coffee to her cheek.
- Kotori ask Mana why she's here. She should be resting and should accept Ratatoskr's medical treatment.
- Mana try to flee from Kotori after she bring up the treatment topic (which will extend Mana's life for more years).
- Kotori hug Mana from the back, preventing her from escape and say:
- Kotori "Thank you. If you weren't here in Fraxinas back then, I don't know what would happened."
- Mana "Well, so do I. You also saved me and I'm really happy that I could repay you this quickly."
- Kotori "How should I say, you really are Shidou's sister. I'm little envious."
- Kotori tell Mana with her frown face to accept the treatment. Mana say she must still follow Kurumi.
- While the two are still hugging, a video call from Shiizaki suddenly come in and she discovered them both hugging.
- Kotori "Don't misunderstand! Mana is trying to get away, so I only catch her up!"
- Mana quickly escape Kotori, Kotori again order Mana to escape the treatment after she's back.
- Mana "I will think about it!"
- Shiizaki then say there was a call from a secret channel. Kotori tell Shiizaki to connect.
- It was Woodman's secretary. "I'm sorry while you're busy, Itsuka Commander. Woodman is…"
- October 15, Shidou and Tohka went to buy their dinner at a shopping district, which is already in Halloween mood.
- Tohka getting excited about Jack O' Lantern, Shidou decided to buy some pumpkin for dinner.
- While shopping, they met an old man in wheelchair and a young woman. The old man ask Shidou to guide them to the hospital.
- Old man introduce himself as Baldwin and a young woman as Karen.
- They asked Shidou and Tohka about how they met and ask "Tohka-san, are you happy?"
- "Yes, I am very happy!"
- The Space Quake alarm suddenly went off. Shidou said to Baldwin they have a business to do.
- Baldwin "Hope we met again. Good luck. I'm leaving the spirits to you."
- Baldwin ask Karen about the DEM staff who got captured by <Berserk> (Yamai) and he said he will visit him later.
- Baldwin check with Karen whether there's any abnormalities from Tohka and Shidou. Karen said they are fine.
- "I'm glad I come to Japan. She looks so happy." said Eliot Baldwin Woodman
- Shidou went to an abandoned amusement park, a place where Space Quake occurs.
- Natsumi discovered Shidou and come to talk to him.
- Natsumi said it was unusual to see someone else other than AST when she was "pulled to this world."
- After some greeting, Natsumi then asked if she is pretty. What part of she is happy, and hug Shidou.
- "As expected… this 'me' is beautiful…"
- Suddenly AST appeared. Natsumi fight AST by turning missiles into carrots that don't do any damage.
- She then turn AST into comical characters (panda, rabbit, etc.)
- The carrot missile explode nearby and created cloud of dust around Shidou and Natsumi.
- Natsumi sneeze and her transformation went off for a split second. Shidou only see flash of light.
- Natsumi "You saw it?"
- Shidou "What?"
- Natsumi "Don't play dumb! You saw me… I won't leave you alone. I'm going to put an end to your life!"

Chapter 2
- October 16, Monday at School. Shidou still haven't come to school.
- Origami asked Tohka, Tohka said she "won't tell Origami that Shidou will come to school late because of his work."
- Shidou suddenly come into the classroom. Tohka greet him and Shidou walk to Tohka.
- Shidou grab Tohka's TOHKAS and said "The real thing sure fells good."
- Ai/Mai/Mii saw that and walk to Shidou, blaming him as usual.
- Shidou grab Ai's hand and push her to the wall. "I'm going to close your mouth". "Wait, I have Kashiwada-kun…"
- Shidou blow Ai's ears then went on lifting up Mai/Mii's skirt then quickly leave the room.
- At noon. Shidou arrive at school after a long meeting about Natsumi at Fraxinas.
- Shidou went to classroom and got blamed by girls about his doings. Origami tell Shidou to do that to her too.
- Tohka get in quarrel again. Shidou quickly escape outside classroom, only to be discovered by Yamai in school swimsuit.
- Kaguya tell Shidou to return her pantsu. Yuzuru said Shidou BUKKAKE a water on her uniform.
- Tama-chan-sensei joins Yamai sisters and said "I can't be a bride anymore. You have to take responsibility"
- Tonomachi saw Shidou and shiver in fear. "Itsuka-kun… I know I joke about it a lot but I don't have that kind of taste…"
- Suddenly Shidou saw someone who look exactly like him on the other side of hallway.
- Shidou escaped Yamai (by trying to put off his pants) and run to "the other Shidou".
- After follow "the other Shidou" for a while, they ended up at school rooftop.
- "The other Shidou" turns out to be Natsumi disguising as Shidou.
- Tohka and Origami suddenly barge into the school rooftop and discovered two Shidou.
- Shidou and Shidou (Natsumi) try to appeal that he is the real Shidou.
- Tohka and Origami able to successfully identify the real Shidou.
- Natsumi extremely surprised because her disguise was perfect. She asked Tohka and Origami how did they do it.
- Tohka "Somehow! You looked like Shidou, but when you two are together, your smell is different!"
- Origami "I couldn't tell if you are alone. But you blink 0.05 seconds too fast, and your pose is 0.2° to the left."
- Natsumi can't believe it, yelling "these girls are crazy…" and tell Shidou she is going to revenge him.
- At DEM Industry Headquarter, England. DEM call for Board of Directors meeting about Isaac's doings at DEM Japan HQ.
- Isaac explained that he has successfully "Inversed" a spirit at DEM Japan HQ.
- One board of director try to get Isaac to resign because of his "children's play" and "self-satisfaction".
- Isaac tell the chairman that he is OK if board want to vote. Chairman reluctant, because he was sure this was staged.
- The chairman asked board of directors to raise their hand if Isaac should resign. Over half do.
- Chairman "Since the vote is zero, the demand is rejected"
- That board "Don't joke me. Do you have a pride as a chairman?" Chairman "I only say what I saw."
- Board of director who raise their hands suddenly realized their hand has been chopped off.
- Ellen with laser blade in her hand get very angry "Child's play? Self-satisfaction? Don't say like you know everything."
- Isaac try to calm down Ellen and tell those board of directors to get a treatment with Realizer.
- "Don't worry. After my child's play and self-satisfaction is done, I'm going to give this company to you guys."
- "Compared to how long we have waited for this day, it is only a little bit more." Isaac laughed quietly.
- October 21, Saturday. A letter from Natsumi arrived at Itsuka's house.
- Content of the letter is a picture of 12 suspects and a message:
- Tohka, Origami, Kotori, Yoshino, Kaguya, Yuzuru, Miku, Ai, Mai, Mii, Tama-chan-sensei, Tonomachi.
- "I'm one of them. Who is me, could you tell? Before everyone is gone."

Chapter 3
- October 22, Sunday. Kotori, Shidou and Reine try to interpret the message from Natsumi.
- In summary, they have to find out Natsumi before everybody is gone.
- Shidou is ordered to date 4 person a day and try to discover anything strange of them.
- Kotori can't do any support to Shidou because she is one of the suspects. Reine is in charge of Shidou this time.
- Shidou asked why is Reine not one of the suspects. Reine guessed because she lock herself up in Fraxinas for a while.
- First date is Tohka. Shidou asked Tohka out for shopping.
- Shidou asked Tohka a question "We haven't gone out together for a while, when was the last time again?"
- Tohka "Mu? Was it so? I think we went shopping together few days ago…"
- Shidou try bluffing Tohka to reveal herself "That was perfect answer. You sound exactly like Tohka, Natsumi."
- Tohka suddenly turned bad mood and asked "Who is this Natsumi girl? Did you just mistake me for someone?"
- Shidou try to smooth it out by saying "Err, Natsuumii was a popular greeting recently, it means 'I love you so much'…"
- Tohka satisfied with the explanation. But still asked "What do you mean by 'sound exactly like Tohka'?"
- Shidou evades and invite Tohka to buffet restaurant nearby. Tohka get into restaurant, for some reason not very willing to.
- Shidou said to Tohka to pickup food first. Tohka said Shidou should go first. Shidou took only a little bit of food.
- Tohka then go to pickup food. Amount of Tohka's food is even smaller than Shidou. Shidou surprised and starting to suspect.
- Reine tell Shidou to look out a little bit more. Shidou asked Tohka if she's in bad condition.
- Tohka said no and finish her food. After she say she's full, Shidou heard Tohka's stomach growl.
- Tohka insist she's perfectly fine with eating so little. Shidou insist no way that's enough.
- Tohka revealed that she saw on TV that "nobody like like a girl who eat more than man" and don't want to get disliked by Shidou.
- Shidou said he like a girl who eat a lot. Tohka become very happy and pick up more food.
- 15:15, same day. Shidou wait for Yoshino at his house as ordered by Reine.
- The door's bell rang and Shidou went to open up the door. The moment he open the door, Yoshinon jumps in.
- Shidou throw his phone to Yoshinon out of surprise. Yoshinon able to evade it and get angry to Shidou.
- Shidou noticed Yoshinon is in a different outfit. He open the door and discovered Yoshino in Halloween outfit.
- Yoshino "Trick or treat……" Shidou try to find some candy, but discovered he run out of it.
- Yoshinon said they will trick Shidou if he don't have anything for them.
- Shidou tell Yoshino to wait at living room while he make a pancake.
- Yoshino eat pancake and said it was delicious. Reine asked Shidou via Incom if he noticed anything wrong.
- Shidou said to Yoshino that he made something for her once when Yoshino first visited and asked what was it again?
- Yoshino answered Oyakodon, Yoshinon said she don't know about it. Shidou asked "Hmm? You don't know?"
- Yoshinon think for a bit and asked whether was it happened while she is at Origami-chan's house.
- Shidou realized Yoshinon was still at Origami's house while Yoshino first visited.
- Yoshinon whispered something to Yoshino. Yoshino then give Shidou the last piece of the pancake.
- Shidou eat the pancake. Yoshinon say someone do eat pancake as a breakfast, so it's not really a candy.
- Yoshino "Shidou-san… there's syrup near your mouth…" Shidou try to lick it off. Yoshino "No, a little bit to this way…"
- Yoshino grab a tissue and walk to Shidou. Yoshino then lick Shidou's face.
- Yoshino "Because pancake does not… exactly count as candy… so this… was… a trick."
- Yoshino then run away from Shidou.
- After Yoshino leave Shidou's house, Shidou asked Reine who is the next date target.
- Reine said next date target is Tonomachi. Shidou answered since the other party is a guy, it should be easy-going.
- Shidou "So where should I meet him?" Reine "Ah, at…" Shidou heard Reine weird and become baffled.
- One hour later. Shidou sat next to Tonomachi at sauna, not saying anything to each other for few minutes.
- Shidou "Hey… Tonomachi." Tonomachi "W… what, Itsuka?" Shidou "Um… I'm sorry…"
- Shidou asked why Reine choose Sauna. Reine answered because you both are guys, it's better to talk this way.
- Reine then suggested if Natsumi made him hate Shidou, he won't come anyway.
- Reine then continues if Natsumi disguised as Tonomachi, then she won't become naked so easily.
- Reine suggest Shidou to touch Tonomachi's body and look at his reaction to test that he is not Natsumi.
- Tonomachi "Hey, Itsuka… why did you invite me here?" Reine then instruct Shidou to "do it".
- Shidou hug Tonomachi's shoulder. Tonomachi shivers and move to the other side, with goosebumps.
- Tonomachi "W-w-w-w-w-w-w-w-w-w-w-w-w-w-w-what are you doing Itsuka!?"
- Shidou "Um… uh." the two went into silent again.
- Shidou asked Reine about the reaction, Reine tell Shidou to do it again few more times since she want the data.
- Tonomachi "Itsuka… we're friends, right? A normal one…"
- Shidou "Uh, yeah…"
- Tonomachi "Yeah right! Hahaha. Sorry, sorry, appears that it was my misunderstanding–"
- Shidou then place his hand on Tonomachi's thigh. Tonomachi screams and quickly run away from Sauna.
- After Sauna, during the night, Shidou went to a park at the hill for date with Yuzuru.
- Shidou was 5 minutes late, Yuzuru scold Shidou a little.
- Shidou is surprised to see Yuzuru alone since she is always together with Kaguya.
- Yuzuru "Sigh. Yuzuru alone is not enough for you?" She then question why did Shidou called at this time.
- Shidou said he want to talk alone and asked if Yuzuru is fine with it. Yuzuru said that is fine, then continues:
- Yuzuru "Monopoly. Tonight, Shidou is Yuzuru's. And tonight, Yuzuru is also Shidou's. Is that right?"
- Yuzuru then ask Shidou for a walk. After a little walk, Yuzuru said the Tenguu City view is beautiful. Shidou agreed.
- Yuzuru "Indication. If a woman said 'beautiful' a man should answer 'you are even more beautiful.'"
- Shidou "Is that so?"
- Yuzuru "Affirmative. That so."
- Shidou "Y… You are even more beautiful."
- Yuzuru "Giggling. Fufu… really?"
- After a little talk, Yuzuru ask Shidou to answer something honestly:
- Yuzuru "Question. Yuzuru and Kaguya, which one do Shidou like the most?"
- Shidou couldn't give a decisive answer, and say both are important to him.
- Yuzuru "Laugh. You just choose the most sissy and miserable answer."
- Shidou "I can't answer that if you ask out of sudden!"
- Yuzuru "Confirmation. If some time is given, then can you answer?"
- Shidou couldn't answer. Shidou then asked which one do Yuzuru want him to choose.
- Yuzuru "Answer. Yuzuru will praise you if you choose Kaguya. If you choose Yuzuru, Yuzuru will be angry."
- Yuzuru "Supplement. If you choose Yuzuru, then Yuzuru will be very happy."
- Shidou asked which one do she mean. Yuzuru said she's okay whomever he choose.
- Yuzuru "Petition. If Kaguya asked the same thing as Yuzuru, please answer 'Kaguya'."
- Yuzuru "Forecast. Kaguya will be angry with 'why don't you choose Yuzuru!?' But she will be very happy inside."
- Yuzuru "Confidence. Even Kaguya is always like that, she really like Shidou. Yuzuru said it, it won't be wrong."
- "After all, Yuzuru and Kaguya was the same person. Anything Yuzuru don't like, Kaguya won't like it."
- "And anything Yuzuru likes, Kaguya will like it as well."
- Shidou try to say something, but Yuzuru said she just say something unnecessary and try to run away.

- Shidou go back home alone after his date with Yuzuru. Kotori criticize him for coming back alone.
- Kotori then go on and ask if Shidou noticed anything out of place.
- Shidou said he still can't say it, still need to inspect everyone first.
- Kotori tell Shidou to go to sleep quickly, since he has a date in the morning.
- Shidou ask Reine when will tomorrow's date start. Reine answered 10AM and Shidou have to skip school.
- Shidou ask Reine who is the first date. Reine answer Kotori then realized why Kotori tell Shidou to sleep early.
- 0:00, at the exact midnight between October 22 and October 23.
- Natsumi call out "Haniel" and tell it that it is time.
- Natsumi "Okay… let's start with one person. Can you tell who is me? —Before everyone is gone."
- Shidou wake up in the morning because the door's bell rang repeatedly.
- Shidou walk slowly and open up the door. It was Kaguya.
- Shidou tell Kaguya to calm down and asked her what happened.
- Kaguya "S… Shidou! Is Yuzuru here?"
- Shidou "Yuzuru…? No, she is not… what happened?"
- Kaguya "She's missing… I wake up in the morning and Yuzuru is nowhere to be found!"
- Shidou "What!?"
- 'Perhaps this is the moment that Natsumi's "game" starts.'
Just found out someone has translated chapters 0 and 1 of Date a Strike. With this the question on when this happens is answered. Mikie joined on May 25 so it seems it happens between books 2 (around May 13) and 3(June 5)
