I should have realized when I saw the OP title in romanized letters "HANAJI" - 鼻血, literally "Nosebleed". Sung by Kobayashi Yuu (Mariya) in her "cute girl" voice. (Kobayashi sings in her "evil boy" voice together with Sanada and Inoue in the ED. )

So, the opening is in the second episode, right? Coz I just saw the full first ep and they didn't have an opening I don't think..

As it has been pointed out quite a few times already, yes the OP first appears in the second episode.

I just want to see the backstory on Maria and see why he's a crossdressing sadist. Kanako's allergy to men will probably be a lot more predictable as far as backstory goes, so I'm hoping she'll be the one that will help Maria deal with his overly apparent issues. Whether or not Kanako ends up with a girl or not seems to be a trap in itself if you think about it, since it's quite possible that every REAL girl in that school is 100% straight.

Kanako's blanant lesbian actions seem to be more for the sake of male viewers and comedy. I highly doubt her finding a "perfect" yuri partner is a central part of the true plot. That being said, somehow Kanako will help Maria with his issues while Maria helps Kanako with her issues. All of you getting worried about her being turned straight or whatever have already been trapped.

But if all your fears come true, then we can say this anime will suck.

Not quite done OT. Yes, I'm here. I haven't seen any episodes yet although I plan to. I'm here because the mangaka herself is enough to make me interested in the series. (Minari Endou also does Hatenkou Yuugi (a.k.a. Dazzle).)

I stopped watching Sayonara Zetsubo Sensei early into its first season run. I'd forgotten what that style was like. Got a definite reminder watching episode 1. Mind warp time.

Yes. I don't know if I'll make it through the whole season. It hasn't fully grabbed me yet and could fall if I run behind watching other stuff. But for the moment, I expect to keep watching.

The slow pace of the subs' release was a factor. But mostly I didn't find it as funny as others did. The preponderance of in-jokes weren't all that amusing to me. I thought they got in the way of the episodes rather than enhanced them. As the subs took longer and longer to come out, it became easier and easier for me to spend my time watching something I found more enjoyable.

Yeah it is a show that's certainly not for everyone. I've heard quite a number of people say the same think as you, also regarding the sub releases.

Just to remind everyone this show is MFI so no discussing sub groups.

I had the same problem with Sensei but with ZSZS, I made it through SZS and loved it but the slow process of subs with the 2nd season made me drop it. I need to finish it one day since I still love that anime to death. (pun intended).

Hmmm I didnt realize Maria was done by the mangaka for Dazzle, now I get why youre in this thread

You really need to finish the second season so you can watch the OVA's. They're SZS on a whole new level.
