Li Jianliang Nice pic. Earth's geology sure it's weird, if I would take such a pic (I mean with short trousers and shirt) in march I would be definitely frozen

taken back in september during my vacation to tokyo. the girl in the picture is the daughter of the guy who took my picture for me. I approached the guy because he had just taken a picture of his wife and daughter, and was putting his camera away. I don't know if he actually understood my horrible memorized "can you take my picture please" or the more generic sign language of me hold out my camera

Either way he took it and motioned me over to where his family had stood, the full image is a shot a of a 5 story pagoda behind me. As he was going to take the picture he starts motioning at his daughter to step next to me. She's all flustered and manages to get out, "Is alright?" in english that was way better than my japanese. I answered "Hai hai" so the guy snaps the picture.

When his gives me my camera back he says, "now have picture cute japanese girl." i manage a "arigato gozaimasu" with a straight face, and we part ways. As soon as i was alone i just busted out laughing.. i mean ok yeah she's a cute japanese girl. but i prefer umm, you know, LEGAL.... it's one of my more memorable events from the trip.
