Seems like the series is getting better, but only just. My days of taking Izuru seriously have certainly come to a middle.

C'Mon. He really needs to step up his game. The story it inching just a bit forward, and the only reason it's getting better romance-wise is because Cecilia is now actually starting to become a serious romantic contender and not just the bad gag cook of the series...

Personally, I think that Izuru should take sometimes off from I.S and write something else, something experimental (a lot of LN writers nowaday have two, three series running at the same times). He should try to broaden his skill.

Normally i'd agree with you. The problem is that IS is still very popular despite it's MASSIVE flaws. Plus i wouldn't suggest starting a new story until you've established a positive rep with this story. I mean i love IS as a concept but it's a horrible story

He did attempt to write another LN about airsoft guns. It didn't succeed, given that he continued this franchise, albeit under Overlap rather than Media Factory. This all happened after the first three volumes were animated.

What is this author, Izuru, trying to do with this story? I mean, what's the point of adding a harem genre to this franchise? If Izuru really wants Infinite Stratos to be the most successful romantic harem series that features mecha like the IS, then he got to put to put an end to not only Ichika's density. But to put an end to the girls' insecurities such as their tsundere traits. Also, the author have to give these characters some developments and to make the girls see the error of their ways like Houki and the other IS girls realize they had been treating Ichika badly.
