Random bit I did just to get my mind off things. Part 1 of 2 shorts.

Spoiler for Office Space! :D:

Fate sighed out, resting her elbow onto the car door and propping her chin up on her palm. “Stupid traffic jam... I don't see why I can't get a place on base for my new office...” The song on the radio faded out slowly, being replaced by yet another one. The blonde took a long intake of air and closed her eyes a moment to calm herself down. Moving her gaze to the side she saw an old man with a walker slowly passing her at a slow steady rate. Paired with this view came the movement of cars in the lane next to her. After several went by she finally saw a slim opening and quickly changed lanes, but slamming on her brakes almost at once when the movement stopped. To her horror the lane she was just in started to move again.

'Why me?' she asked herself as she watched the lane move constantly for a moment. A car changed lanes behind her, giving her the opportunity to swap back, only to hit her brakes once more. Movement back to her right made her reach up and rub the bridge of her nose. 'Stay calm...stay calm...' Looking back up she saw the old man several car lengths ahead of her still moving. 'Why me...'

Almost half an hour later the blonde finally reached her office building and stepped out of her car, slamming the door and walking a few steps only to jerk to a halt when she realized she closed her jacket in the door as well. Growling, she unlocked her vehicle, freed the clothing, and slammed it harder. Her car alarm was silenced with a quick press of a button and she stormed to the entrance to the building. Glass doors were open and the tile flooring changed to carpet. Two wooden doors that lead into the cubical section of the floor greeted her, making the blonde stop in her tracks. Glaring at them, she reached forward and paused a second before reaching to the knob and getting a static electricity shock. Curses were muttered but she went through the doors anyway and headed over to her small cubicle.

Fate fell into her chair, listening to the constant sound of phones ringing and repeated lines of “Thank you for calling.... just a moment!” before the clicking of the forwarding button. Deciding to get to work filing and logging last week's work she turned on the mobile displays around herself and was just about to start typing when a man in a suit came up to her cubicle to greet her. “Fate-san. How's it going? Yeah, we have a problem here. You seeee, you sent out a TPS report without the new cover sheet on it.”

“Oh,” Fate nodded. “Yes, I'm sorry, I just forgot.”

“Yeaaaaaah, so if you could just do that for now on that'd be greaaaaaaat.” The long drone of his voice made Fate die just a little on the inside. “Did you get the memo?”

“Yes, it's right here, I just forgot this one time but it's not going out until the end of the day so I'll just-”

“Yeah, well, If you could remember in the future that would be spec-tac-u-lar. And I'll go ahead and get you another copy of that memo.”

Fate reached on her desk and picked up a sheet of paper. “No, really, I have it right...” She watched the man walk away and angrily slapped the paper back onto the filing section. Rubbing her eyes, she took a breath and tried to tune out the radio playing across from her. Once she realized that it, paired with the repeating lines next to her, was giving her a migrane she stood up and moved to the corner of the cubicles to speak with the person. “Hey, um, Milton-san...could you turn down that radio just... just a bit please?”

The man looked up at her and stuttered out a meek response.”I-I was told that I c-could listen to the...to the radio between nine and eleven at a... a resonable volume..”

“Yes, I know, but just as a personal favor... please?”

“I-I think that if the people can listen to their radio hea-headphones then I could, at a resonable volume, listen to me-”

“Okay, I'm sorry, you're right...” Fate sat back down in her chair and sighed.

“Fate-san, hi, how's it going?” A new voice made the woman turn to see another man in a brown suit holding a cup of coffee. “We need to talk. You're having trouble with your TPS reports.”

“Oh, yes, I know, I was told already. Cover sheet. I've already taken care of it.”

“Yeeeeeah, you see, we're putting new cover sheets on the TPS reports now, and you seem to have forgotten it, even with the memo.”

“I know, just this once, I'm sorry.” Fate sighed again.

“If you could remember in the future that'd be wonderful.” With a hearty, little too hard, slap to the back, the man left Fate alone.

Slowly her red eyes turned back to the monitor and moved her hands to type, only to stop when the phone rang next to her. Eyeing it, she mentally willed it to stop before finally answering it on the fourth ring. “....Fate speaking.....” Her free hand came up to rub the bridge of her nose. “Yes... I got the memo.”

I use them myself. Like Rune Juril is 2 references in 1! Rune is the middle name of Luciana and Juril is Yggdra's middle name (In Japanese, in English it is Yuril) from Yggdra Union. No.47's "name" (47) is a reference to HK-47 (and coicendentally to Hitman).

A cute short though. XD Fate has the patience of a saint. I'd gone crazy by now

*nibble microwaveable french bread pizza* Spoofing Road trip. *drinks Adrenaline rush so s/he'll stay awake*

Yuuno, having dated Nanoha since he was nine is now in his seconds year of college. At one party he finally gave in and made love to his crush: Fate. Fate, being the spunky girl she is, video taped it.

Now as Yuuno realizes that the video letter he just sent Nanoha is really the recording of him and Fate, he only has three days to drive from California to Florida. As Chrono told him, this can only mean one thing: Road Trip.

"Are you sure this is the right way?" Yuuno asked yet again as they bounced down the bumpy back road surrounded by trees and hills. "Seems like a lot of hassle to save a few hours... Is this really a short cut?"

"Of course it's a short cut," Chrono complained. "If it was easy it would just be 'the way', you know?"

"Relax," Erio leaned back in his car seat. "Besides, why not just date Fate?"

"Because," Yuuno growled, eyeing the roads as he turned. "I have to break up with Nanoha first, and the video isn't the way to do it."

"I don't know what you're so worried about," Chrono took a drink from his soda can. "It's not like you're cheating."

"Right." Yuuno glanced at him sideways. "How is having sex with Fate not cheating."

Erio chose to answer. "Differnt zip code man."

"...What!?"

Chrono elaborated for his red haired friend. "It's like... a set of rules men have. It's not cheating if you're in a different zip code, let alone a different STATE."

Yuuno shook his head. "That makes no sense."

"Hey! I don't make the rules man."

"Okay..." Yuuno smirked, turning down another curve and sliding along the dirt road. "So like.... If you have sex with two women at the same time... It's not cheating because they cancel each other out?"

Chrono nodded and pointed at him. "Exactly."

Yuuno slowed down and came to a halt. "Oh no...." Together with his friends they got out of the car and looked at the old broken down wooden bridge that was half on their side and half on the other. "Oh no... no way..."

Erio shook his head and sighed. "Well that gives us twenty minutes before our first butt-raping."

Yuuno pulled on his hair. "What now!? We're going to lose three hours just backtracking!"

Chrono scoffed. "Backtrack? Dude... we can make it."

"MAKE IT!?" Yuuno paled. "As in jump it?"

Erio nodded and walked forward. "This ramp is twenty degrees right? Thirty tops... projection alone would carry us fifteen feet at fifty miles per hour easily."

"NO! No way!" Yuuno threw out his arms.

"Dude!" Chrono put his arm around him. "Bill Murry made this in a golf cart! It's ten feet, I can SPIT over it." To prove his point he snorted heavily and harked, making Yuuno gag and move away. Letting the loogey fly, he grinned when it landed on the other side.

All three men jumped back when the other side of the bridge shattered and fell to the ditch below it and wash away in the water. "Right..." Erio swallowed. "Better make it sixty."

"I'm driving!" Chrono ran to the car and jumped in the driver's seat.

"OH man oh man oh man oh man..." Yuuno got in the back and buckled his seatbelt, praying as Chrono threw it in reverse to gain distance.

"We're fine." The driver nodded to himself before grinning and flooring the gas.

Erio looked forward at the approaching ramp. "We only need to hit sixty right?"

"I'm trying!" Chrono laughed out. "This car sucks!"

In a collected scream, the men hit the ramp and flew through the air, hitting the other side and skidding a few times before coming to a halt.

"YEAH!"
"Fricking right!"
"Hell yeah!"

The wheels fell off the car all at the same time. Seconds passed in silence before the airbag finally deployed, slapping Chrono in the face.

"Great... Perfect." Yuuno got out of the car and started walking, soon joined by his friends. "I don't have time to be walking through the woods right now!"

"Dude," Chrono slapped him on the back. "It's the wheels. We'll call a tow service and get them replaced. We'll lose half a day at most!"

A sudden explosion made them all stop in their tracks and stare ahead of themselves. "Just the wheels," Yuuno repeated softly as a flaming hubcap rolled next to him. "Just the wheels..."

Well I didn't get any writing in yesterday... I came home early and ended up laying down in bed then falling asleep So that was... My fault there... I'll see about finishing it soon but I think I caught a nasty cold from someone, my throat is always kind of sort of sore and I have a cough.

Plus I keep getting side-tracked. Like working on a bit of Arc-en-Ciel... And remembering all those Yggdra Union projects... And a essay due Sunday I haven't even started or picked a subject or any sources...
