You can't say he didn't want to end their friendship just because he looked away after seeing her in tears, for example. He tried to do just that, no matter how many second thoughts he has on it. |

Yeah and also about the love issue... as far as I can tell he would be happy with any girl who is kind to him......
just how many times he said:"I almost fell for her" just about all the nice girls in the story. Yukino, Yui, Ebina....we can even count Shizuka (If no one else will marry her, I will.) So he does not have a love interest yet.....but that will change..... I bet he's secretly happy that Yui is showing him affection...

HI, Ive loved Oregairu, the LN's for maybe a year now. I first fell in love with the art but to my surprise its actually turning out to be the best highschool story ever told LOL but I'm serious, its definitely one of my favorite series and will undoubtedly support it. The anime adaptation though, WHERES THE BUDGET!? Brains Base seriously disappointed me there. I'm excited for the OVA and extra episode though, hoping (and being extremely hopeful) that it gets a new artistic approach because reading this series always made me visualize something absolutely stunning and symbolic like revolutionary Girl Utena but with today's animation I hope to be friends with you all and I can't wait to discuss!

I really find it hard to believe that Hachiman of all people would say something harsh just to make a point without planning or expecting for the consequences. That would contradict his modus operandi for any of his Service Club solutions so far.

I don't think he expected both the girls' reactions in Volume 7 as well. |

Most adaptation animes are sponsored by their own publishers. This series' publisher, Shogakukan, just happened to think that it's not worth sponsoring this anime. That's how they ended up with so little budget in the first place. |

Actually speaking, the light novel sales isn't half bad. If they did spend on the anime there should be some return. We can hope they do season 2 and do it seriously. Spoiler for First Half 2013 Sales:

Is that sales after the anime aired? Nice to see Mahouka still up there without anime
Oh wait.. >27/05/2013 If for example, shogakukan really didn't invest anything to the anime, will they still get the money from anime profits?
