Ariel, Kuro and Shiro all believe that Potimas has the Ruler skill of Diligence. So he has some connection to the System still, whatever he's doing.

btw, on the idea that maybe D is some time traveller: the equivalent hasn't been seen in the WN but in LN2 there's some private thoughts from D and it's clear that "Kumoko" is a surprise to D.

There's been a few posts about gods regenerating energy naturally. I'm not sure if they do. I think it's more likely they have to actively do things to gain energy - that it doesn't just come from nowhere. Something like eating a lot of food is enough for Shiro to meet her daily energy needs when she's not doing anything special. If she had all her clones actively hunt for energy she probably wouldn't need to eat at all.

People in the System will regenerate HP, SP and EPs but that comes from the finite amount of energy in their soul. Same as using skills. That's why Kuro could make Wrath's wrath skill expire - Wrath's soul ran out of energy (and it took him a long time to properly recover).

It's possible that (some) gods do have more passive sources of energy. For example, D is currently officially in charge of managing the planet. Is that something notional or is it something with a real meaning? I've wondered if maybe planets might have some kind of "key" that the administrating god would posses and that might give that god access to some energy (or abilities). There's other methods that's possible to imagine where a god could somehow passively harvest energy (eg solar array) but as far as I can tell that doesn't happen naturally.

Destroying the System won't destroy the planet. It'll just kill people with lots of skills. I don't think leaving the planet would necessarily save them anyway.

Pochi totally really got a small time villain end

Now the issue is if Shun/Sariel or Kuro are going to play a hand at the 'end' of the battle.

.... I wonder how many elves survived? By my expectatives, most of them were near the village when the clones activated their eyes, so they probably died from liforce deprivation.

Hmm. I don't think Evil Eye of Gluttony would kill a person directly. It's specialised at sucking magecraft after all. If someone was flying in the air it would probably kill them since they'd crash to the ground. For anyone within the System it would probably suck up any magic, any external passive skills (eg those that give resistances) and so on. I'd be surprised if it literally could rip out the energy from within their souls.

That being said... with Shiro being around and with the demons and humans being around and pretty much surrounding the entire village, I doubt many elves are going to escape. Whether they'll be immediately killed or what I dunno.

Shun has bullsh*t skill of plotarmor/whatever he wants he wants skill. You can't tell what kind of sh*t that guy could do to mess up Kumoko's plan.

Well, whether or not Shun becomes the trigger it's likely that Kuro and Shiro could fight anyway. Depending upon what he's already figured out about Shiro's plans at least. He has said that he'd be willing to take on Shiro even if it means getting erased by D if he feels it's necessary. I wouldn't particularly blame Shun if he ended up being a messenger.

Actually, that's a point: I wonder if Kuro goes playing as a mortal just so he can hear Sariel's voice? Seems possible. Maybe he can also communicate with Sariel through the System like that. Shrug...

On a different note: Ariel's pretty much a dead person walking. Her soul must be near collapse. I hope Shiro can sustain her for a bit, like she did when Oka-chan sensei used Presentation.

Well there is humility so as long as Ariel dies somehow he could obtain it. Then again even with humility he most likely wouldn't stand a chance. Especially since he doesn't have dimensional magic.

Never knew that Shiro could use telepathy even through the anti-magic barrier. Is it because of the mini-clone or does it mean more? Nah...

So, 11 chapters again? So, Ariel and Shiro won. But Ariel might die the moment she releases Humility (though Shiro can probably support her soul) and Shiro has had to reveal a lot of her abilities to Kuro. Potimas is dead but was that the final battle? It was a pretty cool scene for Ariel to come up and find a space ship. Kinda shame to skip Shiro's perspective but it works. I wonder if Shiro is going to stick the whole damn space ship in one of her dimensions or just leave it. So basically, the elven forces are toast. Potimas has been destroyed down to his very soul. I guess the pacing can calm down for a while now. Going to be interesting to see the perspective of things from other characters. All these events make it clear why there had to be a ~200 chapter gap to see what happens next as all the background to these events needed to be setup.
