I couldn't find the topic of the manga, but I think it's okay to post here since the anime is to blame for these numbers.
The manga had an explosion in popularity. This week the series in general sold: Spoiler for manga series top 10:
The series is very popular with japanese women as well. |

I guess it figures that being in a coma for two weeks would get Takemichi in trouble with his job...not that he liked it, but he still has rent to pay and all that. I guess now he can just focus on saving Hina .
I wasn't quite expecting Takemichi to jump back into body with a hot girl in her underwear on-top of him, but there you go. Takemichi can't be conscious of everything his past self is doing at the time (and probably different stuff than he remembers happening) and past Takemichi doesn't know anything about the future or about what future Takemichi does in his body Did one thing just lead to another? Was middle school Takemichi actually planning to cheat on Hina? Get your act together, middle school Takemichi! Emma's hot, but Hina deserves far better than that . Honestly, I think Hina might actually believe Takemichi if he told her the truth about what's going on. She's already realized there are two Takemichi's, one "adult," and the other the normal one she knows . I know Takemichi isn't in control of his middle school self's actions, but he had that clobbering from Hina coming. He's lucky she didn't dump him . So Emma is like the girl who hangs around the gang because she knows Draken, and part of the reason she was with Takemichi was to make Draken jealous, although he doesn't seem to care that much about her. I'm kind of curious about their relationship . Jeez, Toman seems a lot more serious a gang than they were a few episodes ago in the past. They seem like they're really shaping up to be a major force even in that timeline, down to being a proper biker gang...although, are any of them even old enough to be riding motorcycles ? Matsuoka's in this and is one of the top Toman brass? Didn't see that coming. He doesn't get to use his tough, confrontational, voice that often, so that's kind of neat . So Moebius not only attacked a buddy, but raped and brutalized their girlfriend and then attacked his family...they really sound like the worst of the worst. I mean, I'd of rather send the police after them, but it looks like this is something Toman will have to take care of themselves . The leader of Toman...eats kids meals with flags in them and needs to be carried by his second-in-command around when he falls asleep after a meal. Can't say I saw that one coming . Draken is Mikey's heart. He has the humanity and morality that Mikey sometimes acts and knows what the right thing to do is. Is it any wonder that after this death Toman went so off the rails morally ? Is Kisaki the one who festered the division between Mikey and Draken? Did he set Draken up to die ?

Mmm I believe sooner or later hina or others in the past timeline will realize that takemichi is traveling in time, it would explain his change of personality. I mean Hina noticed his change.
Maybe draken will notice after takemichi saves him for whatever is going to happen. |

FYI, Episode 5 has heavy censoring to remove the swastika - whether by light bars, long pauses, or wholesale removal of scenes with only voice over. Crunchyroll and Muse Asia versions are censored as such. I understand Amazon has the subtitled uncensored version. Otherwise, you have to go raws to get the uncensored version.
EDIT: Example of censoring: Spoiler for Light bar to cover the swastika embroidered on uniform:
Raw version: Spoiler for Uncensored swastika embroidered on uniform:
EDIT 2: Where an establishing scene was replaced with a repeated static screen. Spoiler for At 10m16s mark in the censored version, it re-displays the static shot of the top part of the motorcycle tank:
versus Spoiler for At 10m16s mark in the raw version, you get a full shot of Mikey, Draken, and a couple more significant members in the background that will be introduced later:

It seems that the censorship was only outside from Japan. I saw an image in which a swastika appears in the episode broadcast on MBS channel.
Spoiler for MBS Japan channel:
I think the japanese were concerned that the Westerners would create controversy about the symbol and sent this version to the streamings here. A product of the series being sold in the animate: https://www.animate-onlineshop.jp/pd...19737_20210508 Last edited by LG-MAX 2.o; 2021-05-08 at 18:54. |

So what is currently supposed to happen and what is in future newspaper seems to have a disconnect. I'm going to guess that all that disinformation will be Kisaki's fault.
It is currently scheduled to be a fight with Moebius and Toman. So is the brawl between these 2 gangs but misrepresented in the article? Or did Kisaki cause some internal strife which led to Toman fighting against each other? The other issue is Takemichi changing personalities so much in Middle School version. Hina stated that he left her as soon as the time travel switch happened during the fireworks. Now he is bold enough to go after a girl in a Karaoke bar, down to her underwear. Yet, his future self still went running away and ended up the way he did. It just doesn't add up. Also, why is Middle School Takemichi so cold to Hina in the first place? As for this censorship, it has more to do with Western misinterpretation and fears due to the use by the Nazi. First off, this is counter-clockwise facing, which is sauwastika, not swastika. The Nazi symbol chose the clockwise swastika, which has been used in ancient times to mean auspicious and wealth, until the Nazis hijacked it. You can read more about it in the wiki. However, in the pictures you've shown, it is clearly counter-clockwise and has nothing to do with Nazi use of the symbol. The anime is portraying more of a religious symbol sauwastika and not the Nazi swastika. Hence, the censorship, while understandable, is very misguided. Edit: In addition to that, Nazi version of the swastika is tilted 45 degrees, while the sauwastika in the anime is flat and upright. I understand these nuances are not noticed by the general population, but it should be pointed out that the anime sauwastika has nothing to do with the Nazi swastika. Hence, instead of creating informative conversation about the symbol, they have decided to censor the anime to keep the misguided misunderstanding to continue on.

I think it's entirely possible Emma stripped of her own accord and came on to him and made him sound more complicit to make Draken jealous, but he's walking a very fine line...

That does make sense on both accounts. I also wonder if the only time he meets Mikey and Draken is when he is older version? They would notice his personality change, too, if he switches this drastically. Also, I wonder why he doesn't go back to the future as often to gain more information every time he has information from the past event, like Moebius is in the picture now. He could go back and forth every other day. I'm also expecting Kisaki to be in the picture soon. If anything, he probably forced one of his underlings to stab Draken. I'm curious why Takemichi didn't ask any of his other friends what happened during the fight when he went back to the future. They must at least remember something.

So Draken was born to a prostitute mother, never knowing who his father was, and his mother abandoned him when he was two to be raised in a brothel. On the one hand, that's got to be rough for any kid, on the other hand he was also raised around hookers .
Draken was a tough kid even before middle school, with his blonde hair and strong attitude, although it still hurt getting his forehead tattoo. Totally worth it though . How did Draken and Mikey meet? Well, turns out even in elementary school Mikey was a force to be reckoned with and Draken was intimated into bringing him to another gang so they could pound on him, but then Mikey ends up quickly beating the snot out of their leader and becoming friends with Draken because he's way cooler than the guys he's hanging around with. Was Mikey just one of those kids who are naturally tough or did something happen to make him that way ? Was that future Mikey with the dragon tattoo? Did he get that to honor Draken ? Comparing Osanai to his gang self in the past...the years had not been kind to him. It sounds like maybe Kisaki manipulated Moebius into fighting the Tokyo Manji Gang and kill Draken so Kisaki could worm his way into the group? Somebody is definitely pulling the strings, even if Osanai seems happy to destroy Toman in the past . That was a much more wholesome point for Takemichi to come into the past on, riding doubles with Akkun and then making sure Akkun has a dream that Takemichi believes he can achieve once Takemichi changes the future and saves him. It was very sweet . How did Takemichi think he was going to stop Toman from fighting Moebius with just vague knowledge about the future that no one would readily believe? All it did was get him pounded on. I mean, Draken listened and thought it might be a good idea to look into Moebius, but that seemed to set off the division between him and Mikey that Takemichi thought was impossible . And then Moebius just ambushes the Toman meeting with a bunch of guys, ready to pummel them all. How is Takemichi going to get himself and Toman out of this one ?

If it was me, I'd probably yell to the Moebius guys, "What did Kisaki do to put you guys up to this?" That will probably shock everybody and put the Moebius guys on the defensive. Edit: In time travel shows, there is usually an equivalent antagonist, like in Quantum Leap, there is an evil entity that also travels back in time to destroy people's lives. In this show, Kisaki is most likely also a time traveler, or at least connected to one. Of course, this makes it more difficult to figure out the logistics between our MC and his antagonist, but I'm going to guess that is the case for now.

There is a potential flaw there. Takemichi did not time travel until the first time he was pushed onto the railway track. Can't say anything more than that because it would lead to spoilers. Just hold that thought for the time being.
