Not the best chapter but still valuable considering what we saw and the information that was disclosed.

To start, I can't help but feel like Blade, feeling down after not seeing the Girls Squad in this chapter. Not that it's bad to see Cruz and company again but I got my hopes up for Setsuna/Mio and some progress with Seto and Solva. Oh well.

I'll be interested to see what Riru says about the datachips and how it relates to the Second. Guess it had his DNA and other information in it? Make me wonder why the Resistance had both chips in the first place and what they were planning to do. Makes even less sense that they'd try to fight Arclight with that data instead of trying to find a use for it or sell the data or something. Meh, guess we'll find out. Also curious if that flashback with Riru was in her old Blackspot and not the current one or if they were at different times.

One thing I'm happy about this chapter is that we get to see Riru fight. Haven't seen her fragment in action before, so it's nice to finally see how overpowered she is and what she can do with the creativity of her fragment (ie, manipulate tentacles to immobilize everyone). She doesn't seem that evil/villainous though or at least not on par with Arclight yet. Maybe we'll see her be more ruthless later on but she seems pretty average right now.

Also, I hope the next chapter shows the other fights. I really do.

And also, it's pretty much confirmed Simeon has moved its headquarters to the City. Its members, the Shitenou, the cocoon, the scientists, Arclight, all the pieces are there. Yeah, the building in the Black Spot is of no use anymore.

Okay I looked up a couple of kanji I didn't recognize(lol quite a sizeable amount) and here's a short summary of what's being said...As always keep in mind I can't guarantee I've got it all right.... Anyway here goes.

A couple of scientist are glad the lift still works for another ten minutes so they'll have the opportunity to get out since they were ordered to. The lift explodes on impact taking out the scientists since Disk apparently cut the wires.

While walking through the underground they say the place looks old which they think is strange. Fleshy globs/tentacles start to spawn from the floor etc. They see what what looks to be a way out and they end up in a gigantic room which is overflown with fleshy globs. And who's there to greet them? Riru!

It doesn't take blade long to attack, but is thrown back by Riru's psychokinesis. After blade recovers from the shock....the shock he gets when Riru acknowledges there are no killergirls here....he attacks again using aghnishwattas.

Unfortunately Blades attack doesn't work. Apparently Riru's power is so great she can even manipulate the oscillation of molecules with her power(now that's impressive).....and also the movement of a heart(which Eve notices in an unpleasant way).

Riru mentions that Arclight is busy and Blade asks whether he's checking the names on the list(of the chip). Riru says the chips contains far more than a simple name roster. She says the original founder of the resistance was someone who knew the second christ, a woman named Mizuha.

After the incident in which a big explosion occurred (arclight fuzed with the 2nd christ) she was looking for the remains, but couldn't find any. She did however discover a black box. containing the research results of the adam project, the dna arrangement of the second christ. The chip she stole can be said to contain "the blueprint of god".

Riru uses her powers and the age old classic of tentacle attack starts.
Disk mentions that the power and amount of control of Riru has is incredible and that Seto and Solva's powers couldn't control this amount at the same time. (Lol, well at least these two get mentioned even though we don't get to see them)

Riru's says she's using the interior of the plant as her weapon. and drives her heel through Blades hand treating him like an insect.

WTF she more hax than I aspect . How the hell they can fight some one like this? I don't think even Ageis shield can do much again this one....really Yamada if you fragment have another power this really the right moment to use it .Otherwise you all are pretty much Deat.

Well thats kinda neet, Blade can uses Agniscwattas but Riru can counter it.

Also this pretty much confirms that Cruz is the only person who can take her on since he can negate her fragment, at least he is gonna take a big role.

Cruz can't really take her on by himself, as it is, he can only negate her power but we've seen something similar in Index with the first fight vs Accelerator, Touma could negate Accelerator's power but he couldn't stop him from throwing big metal beams and other things at him to do damage. Plus aside from a great defense, Cruz has no offense at all.
My bet is that it'll be Cruz blocking Riru and Blade and/or Eve attacking.

As it stands, the ability that we know Cruz has is the ability to stop Needless attacks. That's an ability that makes an absurd defense but has little to no offense. He might have more abilities, or have it evolve to something more versatile later on but as of yet, he shouldn't be able to fight someone like Riru.

Well that was a bit of a downer chapter after the last few. I was wondering when Riru would make her appearance, but really wasn't expecting her to be so overwhelmingly powerful. Granted, this isn't the first time the entire team has been curb stomped by a fresh villain, but Riru seems to have accomplished the feat with much less effort than usual.

This would be a good time to take a break from Blade and friends for a while and return to the other battles. I hope Kami agrees with me!

I'm pretty much inclined to agree with Kefit on this one, especially on the part about switching over to the other fights in the next chapter. This chapter just didn't have the energy or excitement the last few chapters have had, thought this isn't really that bad of a chapter. It had more comedy than the past few and a reasonable amount of fanservice, too. And the bits about the Second Christ and Mizuha are pretty interesting and I'm curious what we'll find out next.

Also this chapter was great for more Cruz fanservice.

The biggest problem among many things is the fact Riru received a part of Arclight's Eden Apple, making her fragment Psychokinesis many times stronger, much like with the upgrade Seth and Teruyama got recently.

Even in the hypothetical Blade learned Psychokinesis, it wouldn't be the same. There's a reason why Riru is the second strongest needless.

So no matter how you look at it, unless a miracle happens, their chances to come out of this mess are very slim.

And what's even worse, Arlcight is nearby.

I don't think Riru will ever be defeated, not now. She's like Arclight, and I had already said many times she's Eve's final enemy for logical, symbolic and obvious reasons.

At best they can give her a run for her money, but not much else. Aside of that, the Resistance is fucked up to many levels.
