Fantastic chapter this month as always, Bradley is one of the most badass manga villains in recent memory, I really hope he sticks around for a few more months.

Looks like Izumi will be able to see her baby soon? I really hope the truth about the truth is revealed next chapter about what the gate really is.

I don't think Izumi will bw able to see her child again as he/she died what is beyond the gate is not dead. Well it is another case for Al, as his body was only taken away. I hope both brothers are able to regain their bodies.

If anything, she's see her uterous, not her baby. That IS the part that the "gatekeeper" as I call it took from Izumi.

said that Mustang wouldn't be as deadly against skilled and fast adversaries than he was against Lust or Envy, and that chapter pretty much proved it He got owned in three seconds by two old geezers with skills that rival those of King Bradley. The one who gives them the most trouble is Scar.

Speaking of Bradley, he escaped in a pretty spectacular fashion. Wonder what would have happened to Greelin if he had fallen... maybe that his density would have made him unable to swim?

Father is creepy! And as I thought, the Door functionned as a teleporter to Father's room.

Riza is being sacrificed to force Mustang to open the Door. She probably won't die, but the amount of energy to heal her would probably require to open the Door.

OMG. That was a spectacular chapter. What's Roy going to do? So he has to choose over human transmutation or letting Riza die? Wow. He doesn't have too much of a choice... Poor guy. Just four chapters after Envy. But what's going to happen to the sacrifices, anyway? What about Al? But I mostly want to know what's going to happen to Roy! I CAN'T WAIT FOR 101!!! *breathes*

I'm wondering if Roy had fought one of those old men in a one on one match. I doubt the old man would've been able to get to him and attack him up close faster than a flick of the fingers. Roy had to fight more than one, so that's the reason he was taken down imho. Scar giving them the most trouble makes sense though. In addition to his destructive arm, Scar is an expert martial artist because of his training as an Ishvallan warrior priest. He's an exceptional fighter with plenty of experience as well as youth on his side.

This chapter also confirms that Bradley is incapable of healing the way other Homunculus do, and it appears now that Bradley lost his eye. Will he be able to heal that now to its former glory is what I'm asking myself. If he's practically human, I seriously doubt it.

As for Lin not being able to swim, I doubt it's because of his transformation. The reason Lin's skin can become so tough is because he concentrates carbon on top of it, making it virtually impenetrable. The carbon comes from his body though, only that its outside of his body rather than inside. That being said, I doubt it would hinder his swimming. The problem might actually lie in the chance that Lin doesn't actually know how to swim, nothing more.

As for Riza, she's my favorite female character of all times! Please, DON'T DIE ON ME T_T

As shocking as it was, I doubt Riza's down for the count already, she can probably still be healed. Which is the only thing Roy might attempt to do, as he knows full well it is impossible to bring back the dead.

However, healing requires a Philosopher's Stone, which he doesn't have at the moment. And healing doesn't open the gate either, otherwise Mr. Goldentooth would be a viable sacrifice, since he's healed Kimblee from a near fatal wound before too.

But yeah. What will Roy do indeed. Guess we'll have to wait another month to find out, as usual.

Regardless, as major as the events with Roy and Ed were, I still think the best parts of this chapter were Ling's. He's finally beggining to realize that his so called immortality won't save everyone and Greed is also FINALLY using his full power. Could've done that a few chapters earlier and saved us a lot of trouble, you know?

It's not actually neccessary to have a philosopher's stone in order to heal a wound, or stop the bleeding at any rate. Ed's already done it once using his own life energy. Only difference is that Ed knew the sensation of being transported through the gate and how to use his own life energy. Mustang doesn't. Also, stopping someone's bleeding is easy if you know Rentanjutsu. The little Xingese girl whose name escapes me has already done it to Marco. Mustand doesn't know rentanjutsu either, so you're probably right for Mustang and you would need a stone.

And yeah, Riza's not gonna bite the dust just yet. One way or another, Roy will find a way to save her. That and I really don't want her to die. And Greed using his full power at last was something brilliant. Now I remember why I like Greed so much. He could've saved a lot of trouble, but I actually like how he's using all his power now after the hard part's done. It shows that even though the tough guy's done, he's more determined than ever to protect the ones he cares about. It also looks like Lin has gained complete control over Greed's power but he's also inheriting some of his habits. I remember the old Greed saying he doesn't like to hit girls, and that he doesn't like using his ultimate form because of how ugly it is. That's probably why he's using it only now after Bradley's been beaten.

It may not seem rational for Hawkeye to die. But in the eyes of the Father and the homunculi, human lives are worthless. If killing Hawkeye can bring in another sacrifice, that would be pretty worthwhile to do it.

The death of Hawkeye is only a "possibility." Maybe Mustang will open the gate using another method. We saw Ed do it with the philosopher's stone to pay the toll fee. It is just that killing Hawkeye would knock Mustang's emotions that much more unstable and trigger him to do something reckless.

(Of course I don't want Hawkeye to die. I like her character.)

Izumi isn't a candidate for being a sacrifice. She already is one. The fact that she was taken to Father as Ed and Al were is proof enough of that. Like Ed and Al, she also opened the gate and lost part of her body. Her sacrificial status had already been confirmed a while ago as well, so it's no surprise that she's with Father now.

As for Mustang, I could see him using a Stone for healing Hawkeye, but I don't see him opening the gate with it considering he wouldn't need it to heal her. Ed opened the gate before in order to escape from Gluttony's stomach. Roy's situation now is different. He doesn't have a stone, nor does he know how to heal himself the way Ed does, or Rentanjutsu. Only way for him to save Riza right now is opening the gate. He doesn't need to revive her while she's still alive, so the toll fee he'll have to pay could be very small compared to what Ed, Al and Sensei had to pay.

I think Roy can heal Riza and at the same time open the Gates if he uses Ed's method to escape Gluttony's belly, that is disassembling and reconstructing Riza, a still living human. Mr. Gold-toothed said he would take care of the rest for Roy, so I think he would lend Roy a Philosopher's stone as toll, but even so that's still a very complicated thing to do. Roy has talent but unlike Ed, he lacks the experience in human transmutation, so I don't know if he would be able to do that...(I don't even know if he would use that method).

Another way is he will have Mr. Gold-toothed heal Riza for him, in exchange Roy will perform a human transmutation, to revive whoever, this way sounds more plausible b/c it doesn't require Roy to succeed in the transmutation, he only needs to survive going through the Gate, and Riza will have a better chance to live.

I wonder what happened to Al? Could it be the shock from the teleportation has caused a disconnection between his soul and the armor? and he's on his way to reunite with his body at the time?

Anyway, the eclipse is near, so whatever they do to turn the table, they'd better do it fast. But the most important thing is: Riza don't die!! I'll pray for you too T_T

I doubt Roy could do as much as deconstructing Riza and then reconstructing her. Even that wouldn't be enough to heal her. Even Rentanjutsu can only do as much as stop the blood from flowing. The scale of that sort of transmutation is more than just advanced, and as you said, Roy isn't experienced enough with human transmutation. But you're right about Dr. Gooldtooth. He probably will lend him a philosopher's stone to allow Roy to heal Riza, and that would also allow him to open the gate without paying anything.

As for Al, I think that it's likely that he and the others went through the white dimension before ending up in Father's hideout. If that's the case, then there's reason to think that Al came across his body. Because his soul and his body were being drawn to each other lately, what might have happened is that Al's soul reunited with his body just as they passed through the pseudospace and Al is now stuck in there.

I'm thinking of another possibility, if May arrives in time (I can't remember where she is atm), and somehow they manage to get Riza back from the soldiers, May can use Rantanjutsu to heal Riza. But the chance of it is very slim, considering how skilled the soldiers are and how severe Riza's wound is. Guess Mustang will have to open the Gate after all. Although I'm still not giving up on Marcoh, I hope he would be the one to open the gate instead of Mustang.

And if what you said about Al is true, then there's a good chance Al will be able to get back his body next chapter or so, instead of the last chapter (guess I'll pray for Al too).

You said sth about Greedling earlier, I think in his beast form he's Greed. Ling had given Greed complete control over the body before he transformed. So it's not that Ling has inherited Greed's habit, the person is Greed himself with his own habit.
