As far as I recall, most of the people he killed tried to kill him first anyway (like that dude whose heart he ripped out early in the series), so I still wouldn't label him as one who murders indiscriminately. The only exception I can think of is that one poor fella he killed late in the hunter exams in order to disqualify himself from that tournament (but again, as it's been a long time since I've read the series in its entirety, perhaps someone else can remind me of any other innocent folks he murdered)......

After trying to get the ball from the chairman while on the airship between the 2nd and 3rd exams, he killed two guys who were in the hall. They were kind of rude to him, but they didn't actually attack him or anything. He was just relieving tension.

I might be wrong as it has been awhile since I've read the earlier chapters, but the Zeodyck family has never been shown to be sadistic or even that bloodthirsty. Yes, they have no qualms about killing people and may not always kill for good reasons, but they do not seem to gain enjoyment from it nor seek to prolong/torture the victims.

So, I would say there could be pretty feasible reasons. Or in more simplistic terms, maybe they just cannot control or restrain him. Therefore they say he is a monster and imprison him so that he doesn't kill them.

When the grandfather hit the Gun-gi girl with his dragon attack he says that it's the first time he's killed someone who wasn't a target. So killing for him is PURELY a job. He doesn't enjoy it at all and treats it very seriously. The other members of the family probably have varying levels of that philosophy with the exception of the crazy brother.

We'll have to wait and see for Alluka's abilities.I guess if even Illumi recognizes him as a threat(who is friends with Hisoka),I assume he is a major threat then,but i still get the feeling of exaggeration.

So the next spoiler summary is out (though this one is unconfirmed so far, so take with a grain of salt):

-Looks like Pariston decided to pay Gon a little visit at the hospital, but Biscuit was already there ahead of him, as well as Novu. Apparently, Biscuit actually knows of a way to cure Gon, but is hesitant to use it because it has huge drawbacks.....


-Meanwhile, Killua meets his brother Alluka. They talk about the past, as well as why he was imprisoned. Looks like his nen abilities are elaborated on, as well (though the spoiler summary I read didn't specify anything). Finally we switch the other Zoldyck brother Illumi, who's talking to someone (looks like we don't actually see who he's speaking to) about Killua's actions......



Hmm, I had sorta figured that Biscuit might know of a way to help Gon since his power-up was pretty similar to her "aging" transformation (which basically makes her like a reverse Genkai, heh ). But my guess is that Killua's method is meant to be "safer" since he wants a nen eraser's help.



Also looks like Pariston was about to follow up on his "threat" to Ging about Gon dying in the hospital. Good thing Biscuit was there, or there would have been some real trouble......

So, I really want to know: when did Killua learn all that? In GI, he didn't know Nen erasers even existed. Then there was the ant arc, with no intervening time. And now,

he knows about Alluka. Did he phone his family between to ant fights and his dad went "oh, and let me tell you all about your brothers' abilities", over a phone line no less?

Now, this hasn't been confirmed quite yet (neither has that last spoiler I posted BTW, but this particular one sounds pretty legit:



-So apparently, the way Alluka's nen power works is that he has the ability to grant any wish someone asks of him..... however, the wisher must return 3 favors to him in return, and the weight of said favors depends on how strong the original wish was. If the wisher fails to return the favor four times straight, then he and his most loved one will die. And it looks like the record number of victims to succumb to this curse is 67.....



Man, I really hope this one is true. I really like the idea of Alluka's nen ability basically being a "monkey's paw"-type of power.
