Yeah it in the WN. In chapter 54 he killed someone but there are lot of differences between the LN and WN. After the four volume in the LN the story begin to diverse but before than it was mainly about a difference in characters' perspective and cliche events. In the first place the LN hasn't been translated so I can't tell you much.

reading the chinese translation, my impression is that he had more of a problem with losing control like he did back in his grandma village then the actually killing anyone like when he killed the slaver guards.

I guess I got a rather different impression of that grandma incident though. 1st off, Rio's (not the reincarnated jap guy) mother was raped and murdered - a nuclear-trigger for the subsequent night-crawling incident. When you kill someone, there is a whole lot of diff between slicing his head off, and punching him to a bloody pulp. And even then, he did not really killed the douche that tried to rape his cousin, albeit probably would have.
Personally, I would have preferred Rio remaining a half-deranged psychopath with a rabid-trigger than to play some pretentious eunuch-on-a-white-horse for every 2-penny worth of hussy-in-distress the story keep introducing... |

From my impression the MC is completely different in the WN vs the LN. In the WN his "Haruto" ego is the main personality while in the LN his "Rio" ego is the main personality. In the WN "Haruto" found revenge to be repulsive however he realized it is impossible to survive in that world without staining his hand in blood. In the LN "Rio" was an extremely hateful child but became more mellow as the story progressed. Of course "Rio" (a child with growth potential) had to be given more support by the author compare to "Haruto" (a grown educated man).
Though I don't know what kind of child "Rio" was before his mother was raped in front of him like. In mental age and personality the author is clearly making the LN follow a different path this become obvious after the fourth volume. |

Not really a big fan of Seria... all she ever did was heap problems upon problems on Rio while making a face that says "Ima so sorry I am giving u apeshat amount of trouble, but please make my dreams come true and be my glorious knight in shining armor" To sum it all up, first off she couldn't protect young Rio from being ostracized all those school years. On the academic front, she taught magic, which rio can't use anyway. Then she couldn't do anything for him either when he's falsely accused of getting the younger princess into harms way. As the chapters went by, she only turn into some damsel-in-distress again and again.

In my opinion Seria and Miharu are similar type of people. While they act kind they don't try to understand other feelings, rather than confronting other when something bad happen they avoid the problems, that is called being indifferent. In addition while they think they understand the situation they are always clueless about everything. Those types of people just end causing a mess of everything.

I have a question is the weapon the hero Hiroaki using a katana or Taichi? In the picture shown in the web novel he is wearing the Japanese sword at his side like a katana but he is able to summon it so he doesn't actually wear. Being able to summon a weapon mean the ability to carry longer/heavier weapon like a Taichi.
From what I know some of the other heroes pole weapons, it makes sense that the weapon are either pole or large two handed weapons. P.S. I hope the MC uses dual wielding soon, it is common for Knights/Samurai to carry both a sword and dagger (not to mention he mainly uses his hand and a half sword with one hand). |
