The Emperor wouldn't mind-wipe her alone. He'd be sure to get the siblings, too. Childhood friend is too distant a connection. Why would he bother mind-wiping her at all?

Yep and the fact that none of the siblings got mind-wiped means Anya probably didn't either.

Maybe she has a picture of every prince and princess of Charles? She does have a blog btw.

Why do people believe she can't comprehend memories? Just because she questioned whether or not the younger picture of Lelouch was him? Quite some time had passed, it was a reasonable question, especially because why would she expect to see a Prince parading around as an average student...

And it has been shown that she lacks common sense.

The novels show that she doesn't know where she got the pictures, and she knows the layout of Marianne's palace despite never having been there. So yes, memories she cannot comprehend.

From what I've heard about the light novels they are more about Marianne.

Who's to say Anya doesn't know everything about her past? If she didn't remember anything then how would she know the boy in the picture is even named Lelouch. I've had a theory that Anya is someone who was promised to Lelouch in some kind of arranged marriage.
Remember that Lelouch and Nunnally were thought to be dead. It could be from Anya's point of view that this could just be another boy named Lelouch.
Before Suzaku just mentioned the name Lelouch. If she ha no memories why is it she knew the boy's picture from long ago was also named Lelouch

I think it's more surprising that Lelouch doesn't remember her. Could be that he did, but just didn't go into detail.

I don't see why she would be either a clone or Marianne's 'real' daughter. She has nothing in common with Marianne then hair style. Nunnally at least has the same hair color as the young Emperor.

I got the impression that she was just curious if the Lelouch in Ashford was also the same Lelouch in that young picture.
She knew that the young boy in the picture is named Lelouch. That shows she knew that much.

No, Suzaku names Lelouch when she pulls up the picture of him with C.C. She then flips to her picture of Lelouch as a child and wonders if they're the same person. She does not know that the kid in the picture is named Lelouch, only that they look similar.

Never mind then. On second thought, I imagine that it would be fairly easy to get a list of princes and princesses. Finding out who the person in the picture is wouldn't be much of a problem.

It might be a tad late to discuss 15 on 16 day but...

I don't remember a lot of my childhood. A lot of people don't remember much of their childhood either. People forget things. It could be said that Anya just doesn't recall because she's grown up. Part of growing up is leaving our pasts behind and moving on, whether we want to or not.
