Episode 5
As always, this show is pretty lame when it tries to get serious/dramatic ("Oh my god, that girl and that school uniform... they actually care for each other!" yeah...), but it's fantastic when it doesn't. The Mako/family antics were hilarious as usual.

Ouch, this episode gave off quite a few death flags for Senketsu.
Wonder when we'll see Sensei fight, he seems to be highly skilled and sneaky with those pins. Will Ryuuko ever learn of the organization he's a part of? Sensei seems pretty protective of Ryuuko. Is it because she's useful, related to his former master, and/or he just wants to look out for her because she's a girl? |

Overall this episode was as good as expected. I find it almost weird to say that I'm only five episodes in and I'm sad that the series is only two cours long. Why can't this be a Space Bros style 100 episode series?
What I spent most of this week focusing on was just how cool it was to watch Ryuko with all of her power getting her ass kicked by this vastly more competent fellow was too watch. Neither her, nor the rediculous club based minions stood the slightest hint of a chance. Also, I think this episode lays to rest our discussion of who is the mastermind. The implication that there is some vast and powerful organization working behind the scenes means for sure that they have a bigger role in the events of the series then we are currently giving them credit for. Expect to hear more of a nudist beach in the future.
