I'd go with very mild crush from Hinagiku's side. She's been consistently blushing and smiling whenever Hayate crossed her path, and she's also made sure that he's stay in touch whenever she could "Visit me again" in ep4, "Make sure you say hi" in ep15, now "Make sure you show (the ultimate move) to me when you attain it" in ep16... also, you saw how her eyes lit up when Hayate said that he'd have to train hard...

It's not like she's googly-eyed head over heels, but she definitely likes spending time with him, to a degree that she's blushing happily when it works out. That's a good place to start from

... and now things will soon become complicated for her *grins and waits expectantly*

And yep, Nagi definitely looks up to Hinagiku. As I said before, Hina is Nagi's foil. This is also going to get very interesting (assuming that they won't cut out some key scenes)

hhmm I'm not really bothered if its a filler, as I haven't been reading the manga. Only read the first 2 volumes.

ep 16 was not bad, the hurricane kick and Transformers reference are what got me loling

Even if it is a filler, it wouldn't be so bad, as long as it's enjoyable, I'm fine with it, and we get to see Nagi attempt to do housework in a maid outfit

I thought episode 16 was perfect. I didn't even realise there was going to be fillers because the first 18 minutes was more interesting than 24 minutes from any other show I've watched recently.

All the fillers were amusing, and most outright hilarious. I like the train best. Klaus creeps me out, but he's supposed to. He's the anti-Hayate where everything he does is lame.

Of course there's going to be more filler. If they only did plot episodes, the anime would run out of manga material in another three months.

eh really? I was staring at it and I thought it looked like a girl riding the weird dog/donkey thing from .Hack/Dusk. But then again, I was staring at the kinnikuman statue in episode 10 for like 10 minutes before I finally saw what it was.

I guess it's because it's just grey.

Well it's definitely Conan (wearing a bow tie, the eyes are a bit weird though). And now that you mention it, it does look like that animal from .Hack... It's called a "Grunty" (Google image search is losing today)

I think this will have a Hina x Hayate ending because if you have not noticed whenever Hina appears in a ep she is treated like the main character (instead of Nagi) this was also evident last ep when she took control, ( just go back to all the ep she appears). And I hope they go on that route.
