I was translating chapter 32, (since it's the start of the 3rd arc when they leave for city hall and things get interesting) but I broke down 5 minutes in and couldn't take it when I saw that I still had 15 more pages to go
I'm not cut out for translating, (should've just stuck to editing and proofreading) so uh, fuck it, I'm playing etrian mystery dungeon instead

Chapter 32 - Parting

The town was quiet.

While heading towards the main road to the East, the shadow of a person couldn’t be found. Even the appearance of zombies.

Avoiding the cars that were sparsely left, they slowly went down with the dump truck.

While heading towards City Hall, Mitsuki was silent in the passenger’s seat. Takashi’s body was held on top of her lap, the seat belt not worn. Behind the seat, laid the body of Masaru wrapped in blankets.
　
City Hall, the point where the river splits into two, it was at the place of a sandbar. It was between the East and West river.
　
Even though it was a sandbar, it was a large area that reached the length of several kilometers. There were a number of large and small bridges, connected from both sides.

Yusuke from the west side, drove to one of the bridges.

(I see……)

Watching the spectacle while approaching the bridge, Yusuke said to himself.

On the North of the sandbar was the commercial block, hotels and banks, buildings were lined up.

For meetings, across the large road, stood City Hall. There was a park spread out in the interior. Areas for walking and parking lot were kept, the vantage point from the area was pretty good.

Maybe because zombies couldn’t swim, they didn’t really approach the side of the water. In the case of being enclosed by a river, it also prevented an invasion from zombies. With City Hall to the North, it was good having to only pay attention to the bridges to the East and West.

Although he visited here several times even before the pandemic, it was different from seeing it, it was built in a good place. With help from the geographical location, hundreds of people survived.

At the end before fully crossing the bridge, stood figures. Two sentry-like men, standing on the roadside, waving here. Both had an iron pipe about one meter.

Next to him, Mitsuki faintly drew back her body.

After Yusuke confirmed the handgun at his waist with a glance, he slightly opened the window of the driver’s seat, and reduced speed.

In front of the men, the dump truck slowly stopped.

The man with the hunting cap raised his hand, and opened his mouth.

「Yo!」

「Hey」

Yusuke replied shortly, and there was silence.

What should they say to each other, it was a hesitant atmosphere.

When he thought about it, it’s been a long time since he held a decent conversation with anyone other than Mitsuki.

Nope, doubt the vn will ever get translated since only the popular ones do
Tbh if I were coerced into translating a visual novel, even I'd choose to translate akatsuki no goei before this

oh so it was ch12 for that scene (too bad we didn't get kurose's side with his imagination there)...... anyway wonder why didn't they make kurose more pale or something.

sadly the zombies look like shit like all zombies..... they either got like some minor tears, rabies, bulges (man those be some big ass tumors), some strange hole, or stayed in the oven or by a fire way too long....... so pretty much they all look like experiments and no guro.

anyway all it has are blood splats on the screen and no guro or missing flesh on zombies....

I think the translation team is on hiatus because one of their members was injured

The original is in kind of a hiatus, although we did get a chapter a month ago.
He's gone on six month hiatus multiple times in the past though, so it's not unusual.

Actually, someone picked it up. Not sure if I can link a trans site here so just search for "diwasteman" or check one of the latest comments on the revival post from the previous trans site, somebody linked it there.

Well, I gather it doesn't help with motivation when the original Japanese chapters are on long hiatus too.
