So I was looking at the name of the AGE-1's rifle, and took notice of something. The name of the rifle is "Dodds". No definition from the series as to what it could mean. I'm willing to bet it could be the name of a particle, who knows. But while I was looking at it, it hit me like a sack of bricks. I think "Dodds" might stand for "Dad's". It would make sense given that show will be about the Asuno family, and that they created the Gundam. I think there might be something to it. But that's just me.

I really do not think so, I rarely hear in Japanese dub anime someone calling his father "dad", so they may not get at it easily. Where did you find out the name anyways?

Dodds rifle - it didnt say Dodds beam rifle so this weapon is a solid projectile weapon with a small cartridges.

Just because it doesn't say "Beam" in the name doesn't mean its not a beam rifle. I mean, AGE-1 has beam sabers, so I'm pretty sure its rifle would also be an energy-based weapon as well.

Barely a thing. The only thing we know is that the Gundam was made from data Frizt's more left him or something of the sort; which may indicate that its more special than other MS of the era in some way.

We will probably know in due time however.

As mentioned by Spitfire, not having the name beam does not indicate a non beam weaponry. Most of Gundam 00's weapons do not have the word beam in it yet most remain beam weapons. Then again, we have no confirmation that it is a beam weapon either so it remains an unknown for now.

In regards to the rifle design, do not think it looks that nice when its not held but it sure does when it is being held.

I failed to noticed of the hand grip design with a stabilizer locking on a lower arm to make 100% aiming accuracy thats its looks to me it might be a big beam scattering blast.

I don't know. They got the legendary Akira Kamiya here as AGE.

Funny you should mentioned that.

Akira Kamiya actually plays the role of Captain Gundam in Japan.

Yes. But that's not canon according to Sunrise. Besides Pak Romi's role was so minor that it was relegate way down the credits.

In AGE, however, Kamiya's role listing is right after all the 3 main protagonist. So it will suggest that he has a meatier part. Which means AGE will be more than a simple AI.
