Irnony I played around a bit with the setup and apparently the fleet makes it as long as hayasui supplies them meaning I need to decide between warspite(and thus more off shore supplies) and a second ring
Trying 1CVB + CV + 1 CVL + Fusous now while equipping Yunjo witht he same stuff I had on hayasui earlier (minus the off shore supplies) meaning 1 torpedobomber + one due to the additonal slot, Bofors and a radar (to make the fuel drain less severe and thus pretect the carriers on node I).
Now that KCA released I can send out expeditions at work too so I should have the right numbers of everything next time again.

Cleared E4 in normal difficulty.

I have used boss support to be sure and sent 1 LBA there, while the 2 others were sent to Singapore-Hime.

I did have a few problems because I stubbornly sent my fleet to the route that had the trollsubs. It's when I decided to go to the whirpool that my odds of getting to Singapore-Hime w/o a ship in orange increased considerably.

I still struggled until I triggered the debuff yesterday.

Then I decided to clear it all this afternoon so I could focus on another game event. And I did. I admit, again, that I have paid my lack of upgraded equipment, being quite pinchy about the screws. And the hunt for Aquila was quite frustating but I dont care anymore, I have Warspite and all girls have been saved.

E1 was piece of cake when I fielded Asashio. She's the princess of E1 while Isuzu have been the queen. E2 was frustrating, because of the nature of transport maps. E3, the most irritating part was the Aquila Hunt. E4 could have ended earlier if I have not stubbornly gone through the trollsubs.

I can tell you, if you have shitty RNG, then avoid final form. My friend's RNG just betrayed him and he only chipped the final form boss for 20hp, whereas previously he chipped on hard like 100.

Sure it's thousand times easier, but RNG can be finicky. Try to allow enough resources.

I for one, allocate at least 15-20k should I fail to clear hard. Thank goodness I cleared it though.

Who is better for CI? Myoukou or haruna k2?

EDIT: Also, CI still deals more damage than DA right?

Well Yukikaze thought it was a good idea to shoot the BBH instead of the CAH so I got to fight her new escorts now

Other than that I hope 5 replenishments and 37k fuel will be enough.

Edit: RNG is really screwing with me now lol - Like badly.
19K fuel left and I don't realy want to have all the effort earlier go to waste :/

Please tell me you got plenty of typos in there, because it's an awful fleet even for normal difficulty.

Hayasui: Why are you putting bombers on a 6 planes slot? What's the use of Bofors there?
CVs: Kai, Kai 2 or K2A? Can't calculate fighter power properly without knowing that, although it feels like you've excess of it. 3 Murata planes? Why are you equipping Junyou with Saiun? And goddess.
Teruzuki: Why are you putting her at front?
Abukuma & CLTs: Why are you equipping them with 203mm /53 guns?

Haruna Kai Ni has more luck, but I'm no friend of BB cut-ins during night. CAs have a much higher night combat base value with their torpedo stat on top of the firepower. The three-gun cut-in for night is a single shot at 200% damage (with two main guns and a secondary gun at 175%). A torpedo cut-in is a two-shot 150%. Regular double-attack is at 120%.

I was leaning more into Myoukou with 3 torpedoes and a skilled look-out. Guess I'll go with that for now.

People said Hayasui is good with bombeers. Other than that she probably does more damage than with guns.; the Radar is for reducing fuel drain and thus protecting the carriers on I at least a bit - the Bofors are just to get more plans down.

Pizzaguns: I actually referred to the OTO here. I think the dish is on the 203s is Lasagna can't tell though as both seem round.


AS is according to KCV : 431 - 459 barely compensates for the losses at L and M

Source that says Hayasui is good with bombers... The reason why I asked that is because Tsu can kill Hayasui's planes, hence it is not a good loadout. Also, the AACI job is left to either Maya or Akitsuki class DDs. What I did was to equip Hayasui with just a radar to handle the maelstrom (She is mostly used for refueling the fleet for maps like Summer 2015 E7 (STF), Spring 2016 E7 (STF) and this map.), the rest I just equip with hayasui drums and damecon.

Next, putting a Saiun removes Red T yes, I would also use it if I want to. But in this map, its different. Equipping a Saiun actually make it worse since giving higher chance of head-on engagement will mean higher chance your fleet will get wrecked by the enemy fleet's shelling and torpedo. In my case, I removed Saiun for another fighter for more fighter power against Node I and the 2 AA nodes (Mainly the 2 AA nodes, since I placed all my LBAs to Node I.)


Also, it will be helpful if you post your fleet setup and equipment with the name of the gun.
Giving a fleet setup and loadout like this can mislead people (Bold is the one that I mean.).

Finally through E4N, damn double dyson, it was all smooth until the last dance where I didn't manage to get the final kill and had to fight the final form

Switched out Kongou and Haruna for the 2 Yamatos, Chitose for Hayasui (thank goodness no one looked in her direction, look at her level), for fleet 2, switched Sendai, Chokai and Ayanami for Abukuma, Myouko and Yukikaze. Still, it was a close thing, the Yamatos decided that the flagship looked like a better target and both did daytime crit DAs against it, nothing to do with night torp CI

I think I burned 60-70k of fuel here, and at least 200 buckets, my goodness, it might have been better to reset and re-kill the boss just so I didn't need to meet the final form

Why on earth both of you brought a CVL in a kidou butai setup? There isn't any special branching with them (except if you gimp yourself with Kongou and Haruna) and you just bring yet another liability in term of survivability and damage output.

I brought T2 Recon during my chip for the contact damage, after which I used Saiun since I don't want to gamble a red T on boss and I also want the contact damage.

I think it's a viable strategy to use Saiun. Last event I didn't use it because the preboss is kinda shitty, but this event the preboss(the 2 air strike nodes) is actually quite tame if you actually send LBAs there to soften their attacks.

Up to you. I didn't do it, but I know a couple of friends who did and I doubt they will get banned for it. If they do get banned, I'll say. Either way the reset trick is just the usual refreshing that you want to avoid doing too many times.

The most damage I've done so far is reduce the boss to chuuha. My Hayasui is actualy level 1 since I never bothered to level her. I had not thought so far ahead that the devs would actually make an insanely long map like this. Even maybe compared to last maps. I had thought those were pretty manageable. I'll post my set-up later and ask for some second opinions.

EDIT: I just realized that summer wanko and supply hime can't attack without planes or something XD

Welp, cleared the event thanks to KitaGod.

The Legend lives!

I nearly roadblocked myself by triggering LD, and on Diamond Formation as well, intending to chip.

Then Iowa killed the boss on that run (S-rank on Diamond wtf)! I was despairing because triggered LD but the one time I got to boss (since it was LD formation with two BootyHime) I almost didn't clear it. Boss support didn't turn up and main fleet rekt to bits.

Come NB and I had everything going for me. Abukuma with a CI to eliminate Wo Kai, and Choukai smashed boss for 230+ damage. One BBH died due to Ayanami and Iowa chipped the other.

....Then KitaGod appeared with that legendary snipe.

Event done, got Aquila too (didn't expect to get her so was very happy). And WAAARRRRSPITE. She's so huggable!
