Well, it is amethyst, and Kagami and Kyou's colors are better fit for amethyst compared to Hinagiku.

Can't tell who has the best chance at Amethyst with just one round done and another round set up, but Hina and Ruri (on the small chance that they could contend this period) could end up indirectly knocking each other out of the necklace race if they end up with the same opponents for the whole period. As much as Kirino and Kuroneko is about equal strength within Oreimo fanbase, take a larger, general fanbase you'll see Kuroneko dominating...(She has perform better than Kirino anyway, easy comparison since they have faced the same 14 opponents in Aquamarine and Topaz...)

Of course, Kirino lose to Haruhi while Kuroneko wins against her, Kirino get destroyed by Azu-nyan while Kuroneko stayed close...it won't be competition.

And they're REALLY hating Tier 3 characters...first round Tier 3 intrabattle, then they go up against Tier 2...

Sigh, which means another freaking loss for Victorique, not getting the love she deserved...

Of course, for obvious reason, the Tier 2 v. Tier 3 battles are the most interesting this round (Charlotte v. Tomoyo, Yui-nyan v. Holo, Yurippe v. Nadeko, Haruhi v. Victorique, the Oreimo civil war, Hitagi v. Taiga). #2 on the list is hard for me (Love to vote for Holo, but she's up against Yui-nyan...), #7 could be tough but Kugyu factor make it easy. Rest are not hard...

Hina faced same opponent as Kagami, Biribiri, Kirino, Kuroneko, Index, Nymph, and Rin (Well, Hina's schedule is reversed of the 7 listed, i.e. whoever the 7 faced in Aquamarine, Hina faced in Topaz, vice versa). Knowing that they're now facing each other (First Kirino v. Hina, then Hina v. Index), we'll see Hina v. Kuroneko (During whichever round they decide to do Tier 2 intrabattle) and possibly Hina v. Biribiri (Probably Round 6 or 7) this round...and of course, even more dreadful, the Biribiri v. Kuroneko match...). Remember, Hina is the "free" character that doesn't belong to any of the tier...

Since Biribiri is out of contention, those loss against her would be painful...(I don't see Biribiri losing until she faced Kanade...)

Haven't analyzed the rest of the schedule yet, so no prediction for necklace winner for now...

Eucliwood is facing Ayase. That pretty much automatically puts her at a top running position.

Actually, while I would rather Holo won Ruby (come the eyes... since Amber isn't an option and Topaz is out), I just want her to win one somehow... so I would be fine if she won this one by some chance.

Well, reality is that Holo is pretty much tier 4 material (out of 7 tiers), and despite losing some strength, Saber is still a solid contender in tier 3. Heck, if Ayase can win against a tier 3, it'll likely be Holo.

Rooting for someone to win something is quite different from realistically expecting someone to win, unfortunately. Someone I know predicted that Shana is actually going to be up against Kanade in this round for the 1v1, so assuming Azusa doesn't lose her 1v1 (which would only happen against Mikoto, and even then it's far from a sure thing), Shana's chance at the necklace is pretty slim already. If Eu and Nagato gets their 1v1 win as well (seeing that they're set to face Ayase and Mikuru, their SDO already have an insured sizable boost), then it would make things even harder for Shana.

But don't a lot of people want her to win Ruby anyways? Having a tough schedule in Amethyst and the other seasons preceding Ruby would help their plan, since it's a lot easier than convincing thousands of people worldwide (for many of which Shana is not their top concern at all) to vote strategically.
