Well, that, and the fact that they're obviously going to betray Zero despite the fact they'll think they were enslaved by him to fight for Japan through Geass when they're obviously going against that by turning against Zero. Their surge of stupidity will override their common sense.

If they weren't, there would have no need for them to depend on a masked man to lead them.

Of course, now that they have forgotten the fact that they are MAFI, they would try to go without Zero... and get crushed.

Look at it another way; since they are such MAFI, there is no reason why Lulu can't get a better bunch of troops elsewhere. China certainly would like the help.

The problem for Lulu isn't the betrayal; he could handle that no problem. The problem is that he need to try moving on after he think Nunnally is dead.

Kallen is just what the doctor ordered. Once she straighten him out and give him a kick to the backside, Lulu can get back to work.

Zero created the Order from a bunch of useless terrorists, he can do it again. The Order, on the other hand, can't get a replacement Zero.

No. Zero without Kallen and the new Guren is nothing.

I'd rather have the Guren SEITEN than the rest of the OotBK put together, espically if i had to fight the KoR's.

And once the Gurren runs out of energy or gets damaged then...what?

With just Kallen this won't work either, there is at least ONE useful person in the OotBK and that is Raksharta. Kallen might be able to defeat single Ace pilots or little armies but he won't be able to defeat Britannia with her alone.

Okay, uh...the SEITEN can utterly trounce and mop the floor with anyone who isn't Suzaku or Bismark, probably. As for energy, Zero can always Geass followers (probably Rakshata and her group) into following him to keep the Frame in shape, or, since the last three episodes, after 22's description, look to be like a final battle, energy won't matter.

Or raid a military supply depot and run off with a truck full of energy fillers.

Really the only problem is maintenace in the long run and even then in the intervening year between S1 and R2 they managed to replace the Gurens arm and keep it in working order.

Replace Ougi with Minami and your about right. Ougi is basically the token nice guy and mascot of the OotBK, Minami on the other hand is actually useful and knows a little about command, judging from last EP anyway.

Kallen's long overdue rescue coinciding with the Black Knights learning about what's really going on - not coincidence. Would have to think either she will somehow yet again keep them from jumping ship or that Suzaku will be the betrayer. 17 did set it up for him to jump ship since they did use him in 17 and indicate they don't trust him and wanted to kick him out. And as for 18, I don't think he's thrilled he was simply the firing device for Nina's bomb. And even if the Black Knights abandon Lelouch, he is the master of finding another way to keep on fighting.

I agree with you, but Li Xingke is with the order now and could lead the OtBK in place of Zero. I wouldn't be surprised that Zero knew that the order would betray him somewhere down the line and has a plan for just this situation. The thing is would the OtBK follow Li Xingke or would Li Xingke go with Zero. With Zero they have been close twice to taking back Japan. During the year that Zero was missing the remaining members of the order couldn't even rescue there captured comrades they were only able to rescue them after Zero returned.
