Only One ?
DVD Cover: some scenes from the OVA are taken the original serie like the scene where Chibi Emi promised to be pianist in ordered to beat Arima or Super saiyan lept the temple's stair etc They took the season 1 Opening and Ending. Overall it was good |

Now on episode 3:
Kao-chan's personality is very likeable for me. Hmm, but I wonder if Arima has a chance with her? xD /just kidding And I wonder if Arima really can't hear his own music, or he's just afraid of playing the piano?

Watched the final episode together with a friend today.
Uwah... nearly cried at the part where Arima was performing at the hall, then he saw Kao-chan --- it means she already died ;___________; I only hold back tears, because Karen is watching the anime with me. So Kao-chan.. really liked Arima right from the start. And she even has the childhood pic. I really wish she survived her sickness.. they would have made a good pair of musicians. And also good husband and wife. This is one of the best anime I've ever watched..

Finally got around to watching this. Pretty sad that they only performed publicly together once and we got no resolution on whether he got a medal at that last competition. While sad endings can have an impact it does make it hard to go back and watch a series again .

They should have continued the story a little more in the OVA, instead of showing the kiddie flashbacks.

woot labor day weekend and i don't regret using it to watch this. the music score and its project staff did an excellent job on this adaptation. only thing i did not like was the letter explaining everything at the end. it ruined it for me. i wish the author would have use a more personal approach and explain everything face to face before the last competition and surgery took place. it felt anti-climatic with the approach used.

Just finished this last night. Great show. I was hoping for her to pull through the surgery, but when she appeared at his competition like that I knew she was a goner. A more powerful ending that way, but still made me sad.
If I were him, I'd be a little pissed after reading her letter. If she'd been honest, they could've had a lot more time to be close to each other. Like when she went out with him shopping the last time, when she said she was waiting for Watari but would take him as an alternate he should've been like "no, I'd rather not go with you, because I don't want to have you waste your day with a guy you don't love when I can just call Watari and tell him to get out here right now." Maybe it could've pushed her to honestly, lol. |
