How come kenshin isnt in that list?

And if you are looking for a series with swords... Bleach might be of your interest.

Samurai X is the stupid English title for Rurouni Kenshin.

Yea the japanese title is "Rurouni Kenshin"... and as for bleach they are currently with a "filler" arc but if u are starting this series then there are at least 200 episodes to watch *.*

The English version is also called Rurouni Kenshin for the anime, the OVAs are called Samurai X

Purists (like myself) do not speak the other name the series was given. It was, is, and ever shall be Rurouni Kenshin and it's one of the most fantastic series ever made. What's more, I cannot urge you enough to make sure to watch Rurouni Kenshin: Trust and Betrayal (also referred to as Tsuiokuhen). You will be hard pressed to find a more perfect OVA anime ever.

Skip the movie and the other OVA that claims it's the series' ending. Stick with the manga ending, which makes far more sense and doesn't have the cast acting ridiculously out of character.

Though only three out of twenty-five episodes have yet been subbed, you might want to take a look at Hidamari no Ki, a story set near the end of the Tokugawa Shogunate. It tells the parallel stories of a doctor and a samurai.
